It is one of the top architectural colleges we have in west region. I don’t have issues with college other than the faculties they hire but major problem is with the curriculum ( course) which should include more practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge.

Architecture is a tough degree to get through. Council of architecture (CoA) should revise the curriculum and make it more of a practical knowledge based education then sitting and designing for whole 5 years tenure.

Our 5year curriculum includes 6 months internship with reputed architectural firm (which according to me is less). My experience at internship was amazing. I have learnt alot in those 6 months. I was working on 5-6 projects simultaneously but only disappointing thing was they were only paying me 6k

There are no placements in architectural colleges right now in India. CoA should take some serious decisions regarding this cause every year 10-20k students qualifies as architects after completing his or her 5 years degree and then the struggle to find good job starts and minimum pay he or she can get is 8k-20k which is thing very below after doing a 5year course with all knowledge of softwares.

The only event that happens in our college is due to whole heart contribution of students. Dean or directors have their role but to a minimum level. Fundings are not been provided on time. The only event that we celebrate is “cultural amd sports week” where we are allowed to conduct different cultural things, students can showcase their talents through activities like dancing,singing,sports,drama etc.

Fee structure is feasible as per semester. But architecture is an expensive course as it includes additional costs of prints, stationery, models etc every week. We are asked to give our juries on a1-a0 sheets which costs around 40?-80? per sheet (black and white) and 100?-350? (Coloured )

No. They haven’t told anything related to loan. But they do have arranged some conferences taken by international firm for scholarships purposes. But no further discussions have ever happened to know about all in detail.

We aint allowed to play at times and sports week is the only time where we are motivated to participate in sports. Labs and other rooms are highly disappointment being a architectural college where a student can atleast expect a good infrastructure.

I am a localite so i have never experienced the hostel infrastructure from close. But ya according to fellowmates living there it’s kind of mess and requires maintenance time to time. Also there are no provisions for summers in the campus.

This is best thing about college that it hold relations with seniors. We have to have relations maintained for guidance as well as to help them with their projects(thesis), symbiotic relationship has been maintained.

Rajasthan technical university conducts examination for Rajasthan region. We have 4-6 theory subjects every semester. Papers prepared by university are good enough to check the knowledge of the students.

I have Given NATA (National Aptitude test in Architecture) on 7.07.2013. For that i took 7 days coaching and got short listed according to my aptitude test result plus 12th percentage. I was on the first list prepared by the college

We have our seniors who later become our faculties without any experience or talent which indeed cost enough to students. They waste their as well as students time by not investing their proper interests.
