- College has 9 research departments which helps in increased knowledge. More than 50 scholars are there
- Faculties are much educated and help students to achieve their goals. Majority of the faculties have a PhD.
Dislikes
- College is weak in placement support and other career support. Oppurtunities for job is to be found by the student itself
- Examination or unit tests are less frequently conducted. University delays exam sometimes. Results are also delayed
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is to be updated. The university provides a weak syllabus and the system of conducting examinations are outdated. Exams are not in time and the results are delayed. Exams are moderate to easy. Sometimes same questions appear. But, course helped me to get a vast knowledge about my subject
Internships Opportunities :
Interships are available from other sources. Students take internships from CIPET, NIIST and other industries with their own effort. Faculties also help in this process. Tasks are carried out in an smooth manner. Stipends are given for govt authorized internships only
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees are very low. The govt reimburses majority of fees to needy students. Students with income less than 1 lakh (General) are eligible for full refund of money. Scholarships are available for many students. National scholarships as well as state run scholarships are available
Campus Life :
Festivals and technical programmes are frequently conducted. They are conducted once in 2 months. Books are also available in plenty. Library supports all the need of students by providing many research journals and newspaper
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are available for many students. Since it is a government hostel, students are only needed to pay a small amount (almost 1700 per month). Registration process starts during the time of admission. PGs are available near the college near Meethalepeedika, Melur and Andaloor at a convenient rate
Admission :
To get admission for MSc Chemistry, the student should have passed in BSc. Chemistry/polymer chemistry or its equivalent. Application process starts roughly in the month of May and June. Cut off ranges from 89-92%
Faculty :
Faculties are very much cooperative and help in catering the need of students. They teaches with immense pleasure and interest. Portions are completed in time. Office staff are very cooperative in accompanying our issues. Teachers always help students to go for interships and other practical works. Teachers are like friends. We can approach them anytime
