Pros and Cons

The Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela is a good university for producing an all-rounder engineer who is not only specialised in his domain, but also know basics about other branches also. That's why I chose to pursue with BPUT. And KMBB College of Engineering and Technology, Khurda is affiliated to the BPUT. So I chose this college.

The fee is very affordable. The fee is only Rs. 1 lakh for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students and it is Rs. 70k for non-CSE students. Also, for SC/ST students almost 60k is sponsored by the Government Of Odisha.

The campus life of KMBB College of Engineering and Technology is average. It is a tier-3 college and provides as much as it can. However, having been placed in a tier-3 city, you are not going to get much exposure. You have to work hard by yourself. The library have good stocks of books.

The difficulty level for taking admission is easy. The admission rate is around 90% as this college allows OJEE and JEE. This college also allows regular admission through on spot admission process. This college also allows lateral entry students having a diploma in any domain. They are admitted directly to 2nd year.

Good and Friendly Staff. Teaching quality is not up to the mark. Qualified teacher with degrees like Post Doctral and Master's. Hardly you find any teacher/lecturer with just having a bachelor's degree.
