Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Since the college is affiliated to CCS University. It follow the same curriculum as the university and all the colleges that are affiliated with it. This curriculum might seem a little old if you compare it with that of Tier 1 colleges but it's presence is understandable. The college further includes diploma courses of its own in the curriculum. For example: A diploma in media and personality and professional development or a diploma in cyber law. This is helpful but it'd be great if some of these could be optional instead of being mandatory. The exams are held by CCS university which sometimes results in rush as the students may get the timetable for exam only a week or two before the actual date.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

A lot of internship opportunities are offered to students starting from the first year students itself. These year only, we've been offeres internship opportunities at the chambers of Sr Adv Pradeep Rai, Adv Kanika Bharadwaj, and other advocates as well. NGOs like Goonj and research forum internships are also being offered.

Placement Experience

3

A good number of placements are offered by the college. The students of BALLB become eligible for placement from 9th semester. It's not the best out there for sure but it also isn't certainly the worst. The average placement goes to 7LPA aprrox. Companies and chambers of practicing advocates are offered to the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is really good and quite affordable if compared to all the other colleges specially in NCR. The fee for BALLB (general) is 1,20,000 per year. While the fee for BALLB (international) is slightly higher than this. This doesn't include hostel fee, which may vary on the basis of the room you choose. But the least hostel fee will cost you will be 1,20,000 as well.

Campus Life

4

The overall experience has been great till now. There's this montly meeting with the assistant Dean, 'Confluence' where the students get to talk about their concerns and problems and are also given the trophies and certificates. Then there are sessions with alumni wherein the students get to interact with the alumni who are doing great in their respective areas of work. There's an annual sports fest, 'Athleema' which brings out the sportsman of a majority of students. Apart from this the library is also quite resourceful, they could add some more legal research databases for sure but a person can work with this as well. The clubs conduct competitions and conferences throughout the year. It's a good place to learn something.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel has decent facilities. Boys hostel is near the college and girls hostel is in Jasola Vihar, Delhi. Both the hostels have the facility of buses. The food offered in girls hostel is quite poor as compared to that of boys. You can always take a PG in the nearby locality of Raipur Khadar, Sector 126. It's at a walking distance from college and that's where the boys hostel is also located.

Admission

There were two rounds. First was a computer based test. The students from NCR were supposed to go to the college campus to give the test while the students who were not local had to give it online from their homes. After this a PI was conducted via zoom (for non local students) where a panel of three faculties asked questions. And oh God! They did a fantastic job at asking questions you won't know the answer for.

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio is actually good. Almost every faculty knows every student by name. Their way of teaching is appreciable. Every classroom consists of a white board and a projector this making it easy for the faculties to have interactive sessions and serious sessions as needed. Most of the professors are quite friendly in nature thus making it easier for students to approach them in case of any problem.

Interview Experience

4.5

There were two rounds. First was of a CBT - computer based test which evaluated your IQ and General Knowledge. Round two was a Personal Interview - wherein a panel of three interviewers asked questions about the student and their courses and ambitions and a few questions related to general knowledge and legal arena. PI was harder than the CBT. If someone has prepared for CLAT then it should be easy for them though.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There has lot of visits like court visit, parliament visit, etc The curriculum provides a basic foundation of theoretical knowledge that is useful for understanding core concepts and for pursuing further academic studies, such as higher education or competitive examinations. It helps develop analytical thinking and subject awareness. There is significant scope for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The syllabus should be updated regularly to include recent developments, practical modules, project-based learning, internships, workshops, and skill-enhancement courses.Examinations are conducted frequently in the form of internal assessments, mid-semester exams, and end-semester exams, which sometimes creates academic pressure for students. The timing of exams is often closely packed, leaving limited time for proper preparation and revision. In terms of difficulty, the exams are generally of moderate level, though some subjects are challenging due to lengthy syllabi and conceptual depth.

Corporate Law is a subjects but no corporate placements as law firms were the sole contributors of our university. They gave as many placements as 30% students were placed and that too with very thin packages. So, university needs to fix this just like they have fixed every single thing at the campus.

Placements for Law are not comparable to the tech courses so far at GLA. Every year combining BBA LLB and BA LLB around 300 and I don't think even 100 are placed. So, GLA University will have to find a way to get atleast half the students find placements here and because I know my chances of getting placements are slim, I will be opting for doing LLM after I am done with LLB in 2027.

The college provide students with PDF lectures which focuses on personality development which includes confidence building, speaking and listening skills, etc. They also give tips for a better resume and how to give interview and prepare us for interviews by organising mock interviews. 5th year students are the focused students for the campus placement. Some students choose to be an advocate and others may prepare for higher studies and or prepare for judiciary and other civil services examinations. I personal preference to go for the one field which can open my ways for other field stoo.

Yes they do provide campus placement last year only almost 70 students were offered jobs in campus placement. But in our case most of the students have their own plans like the majority of them are generational lawyers so either they'll join their firms or they have very good contacts so they'll get places easily but in my case as a first generation lawyer we do get internship or assessment internship in which we get very good chances to get PPO they we don't have to relay on college for campus placement. In my case if i didn't get campus placement then wherever I've done my internship I'll try to convert my internship into a PPO

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.
