What Students Say
Likes
- The exposure and the crowd is really great. Extremely helpful for students to build contacts and connect with others. People are from various places so easy to get to know a lot of cultural information.
- They emphasise the extracurricular activities equal to the education. Not just classroom learning but with a lot of practical experiences through workshops.
- For law students they provide 5 years course with a lot of opportunities like moot court competitions and value added courses.
Dislikes
- The campus is a bit small compared to other campuses.
- The locality where the campus situated is not that appealing.
Course Curriculum Overview
We have mid sems and end sems in a semester with three months gaps. We have guest lectures in between as well to discuss the practical aspects of the curriculum. They also take the students for site visits and conferences for outside learning. We have 4 CIAs cumulative internal assessment. Two assignments and the two exams in a semester. You can always reappear for the exam missed but have to complete the arrears to get promoted
Internships Opportunities
We've got internship opportunities from senior counsel advocates, AORS, tier two firms such as Sb firm, the dialogue and etc. It is all mostly unpaid but if you are really a good candidate you'll be considered for paid internships.
Placement Experience
The placement in law starts in 4th year itself. We have the internship placement committee where they keep us posted about the internships and the opportunities. The teachers are always available to talk to and help with internships. I have done total three internships as of now. 28 weeks internship is mandatory per year. There is winter internship break and it is only for the law students. There are high chances of the students getting placed but in worst case scenarios the brand name will always help you get through in some firm. My employment plans are getting placed or to get placed through my internships.
Fees and Financial Aid
We have internships inside the campus, as volunteers in library, health services, writing blogs etc, as a guide for the admissions department and multiple other earning opportunities inside the campus itself. Students who perform really well get scholarship money and also sponsored for the competitions outside the college.
Campus Life
We have a lot of clubs and committees for students to engage in social activities such as donation drives, cleaning campaigns, social media committee, event management inside the university, to showcase their creativity through extracurricular activities which enhances their passion for art, music, dance, craft and etc. student participation in the corporate social responsibility committee is mandatory and it will also be asked in the time of the interview about how can they contribute.
Hostel Facilities
Firstly I took the college hostel but the facilities were bad. We didn't have a separate washroom and only common washrooms and even though there were didis to clean, the students will never let it be clean. So in second year I tried taking a pg but the locality is not that great. So I took a flat in Raj nagar extension which is 15 mins away from the college. Having a vehicle makes it easy for the students to travel. Or you have so many pgs in Mariam nagar itself for accommodation and the prices are also affordable.
Admission
Firstly there's Christ university entrance test which you have to clear and if it's above 75% you'll easily get in. Once the application is submitted the college will guide you for the entrance test and then interview and you'll have to pay the fees in the portal to confirm admission. The test is very simple if you have cleared your boards with 85% and a bit of knowledge about the subject you're choosing. The interview taken will be based on your confidence level and the answers. Mostly it'll be practical questions so it's better if you are aware of current affairs.
Faculty
The faculty members are highly qualified in law school and their teaching experience has been very positive and encouraging for the students as they are very approachable and motivating. They bring in a lot of opportunities for the students to grow and conduct guest lectures where expertise comes from outside to help students understand the practical aspect of the curriculum.
