Biochemistry faculty is very Cooperative
Always conduct engaging and innovating program which is beneficial for all teachers and students

Dislikes

Only 1-2 companies come for Placement interviews
In some departments Do not have required lab instuments while practicals

Course Curriculum Overview :

I personally have an interest in Biochemistry very much although it's a pretty tough course because we learn many different subjects in 3 semesters i.e. molecular biology, human physiology, microbiology, enzymology, etc. All these courses get updated according to new requirements in the syllabus.

Class Size : 30Course Fees : INR 35000 per year

Placement Experience :

There are placements available at Fergusson college and those who qualify the interview round definitely get the benefits of those placements. The companies that visit for placements are Enzene, syngene, byjus etc. No such percentage is considered of students while interviews it's just your behaviour and efforts while talking in an interview my plan after getting a degree is to join the pharmaceutical industry.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The complete fee depend on in which category you are, for SC category it's 30000 for 1st year. Were you get scholarship /freeships on time if everything is cleared by documents.there are many beneficial scholarships are available on MAHADBT portal so simply apply in whichever you're applicable. For campus employment the provide stipend if you qualify the interview and apptitude round and if your qualified you'll get job roles and other necessary information

Campus Life :

The college campus is very enthusiastic with the positive energies of different students. Due to updated technologies, every classroom has an LED screen and projector as well. With good and comfortable benches. So many activities such as dancing, singing, sports, and educational activities are conducted every year with good winning prize.

Admission :

For applying to any course, that specific department conduct their online exam which is MCQ based and you can get all the updates on ERP i.e. on official website of fergusson college. The exam will be of 100 or 50 questions for 1 hr and it will be related to subject only.

Faculty :

All faculty members are best in their relevant subjects. Teachers are very interactive with students and always help everyone if they are facing any queries and also whenever required they asked upfrontly to students.

The overall experience is good

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are eligible for getting placements. Companies like Cairn India, SLB, Exonn, Halliburton etc come every year for placements. Highest package is around 24 lakhs and average is 13 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed is very less. After getting degree anyone can give competitive exams like gate for PSUs and GSI and if anybody is interested they can go for phds.

palcements are done through commite of experts in the field , forms are filled in toffline mode , average CTC offered is around 4lakh .around 14 companies participate for recruitmnet process in field of biostatics, IT / IIT , finance and consulting.companies like tata motors, novartis,GSK,Cystl , Tvanat technologies. etc.recruit students for the company. my plans after getting degree is to get into teaching filed and helps students with their academics chemisrty .

Placement Experience:

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.
