Life in Banasthali

I am quite interested in creativity and enjoy work related to space design so I chose this programme. I think this is my best decision as Banasthali has a very comprehensive programme for design as the theory, practical work, projects, field trips and workshops are very much balanced to provide as much experience in this field before we even start internships. Most of the practical projects are based on real field experiences. I think to better improve the course the faculties could organise seminars or workshops with successful individuals of the fields more so that they can guide us for our career choices. Exams are very evenly distributed in semesters. 2 FA and 1 final exams in a semester. Theory exams are quite easy if you have paid attention in the classes but practical exams difficulty is a little bit high due the course requirements & as the practicals are with external faculty. But if you are serious about your studies they are also very easy to pass and score high

Fee Structure is mainly divided in tutition and hostel fees as Banasthali vidyapeeth is a on campus University. Course fees is around 97000/- a year and hostel fees is around 60-70 k per year. Reat are other miscellaneous charges which includes campus fees, service fees and others. In total it costs around 2 lakh per year and this is a 4 year course. There are also many scholarships provided by University based on your financial situation and also based on your academic performance. Many state provided scholarship also available in Banasthali and a special deaprtment also educated about the scholarships to the first year students in ther inauguration meeting There aren't many campus employment opportunities but yes you can apply for further studies and get some fees reduced and you can also be the assistant teacher while pursuing your higher studies which gives you the opportunity to earn. But personally I have not opted for it till now.

An annual fest is organised in december with the name of Appa ji fest which is the only fest which is open for the outsiders as well. Apart from this fest many other departmental fest waas organised throughout the year like zerone and other. Every department has their own dedicated library for students use and there is also a public library known aas Vidya mandir which is a whole building and hass quite aa taange of subjects. The library has books but it also has a digital library too. Each classrooms is specialised for the courses the students are taking and have dedicated furniture and other equipments. Banasthali empasisess panchmukhi shiksha which means every student has to choose 2 extra curriculum subjects which has to be one related to sports and one to other such as music, dance , drama, etc. Banasthali has horse riding, yoga, marshal arts, football, cricket, athelete, swimming, and other olpmic games sports to offer. Students are free to open there own clubs too

You have to take an exam to be eligible for the admission in the course. You can find the application form and other necessary details regarding the admission on Banasthali vidyapeeth.org which is its official website. Exam usually takes place in january- February. There are no such reservation benefits. It all depends on your performance in exam. After clearing the exam you will be provided with the date and proper process for the admission. Areas that can be improved is actually the actual process as it is quite lengthy. and have different assigned rooms for each process. Which can be quite confusing for someone new so any be a detail map or something like this can be provided in the entrance of admission building.

All the faculty of my college is quite professional and and very much experienced in there respective field. Every subject has dedicated teachers yearwise like 1st year subjects have different teachers and 2nd year subjects have different one even if the same subject is continuing in the enxt year. Our previous Dean is also in the board of directors of NID and he is the leading figure in design field. Many of our faculty have years of working experience in their teaching fields and also education experiences of min. 5 yrs. Apart from working experience. Quite a no. Of teachers have education experience in foreign University too. Faculty is quite approachable and helpful. They do not only help us in subjects but are quite active in organising field trips and all to enhance our learning experience.Even after graduating 2 years before, I still call my teachers for their guidance and opinion on my work and they still entertain me with the same enthusiasm as when I m still studying under them
