Remarks

The admission process is very simple no need to give an entrance exam. After the 12th one can apply for this course and there is no age limit. The application form can be filled out online also or else at the institute

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose fashion design because it was my dream. In Jodhpur amongst private institutions Jd institute of fashion technology is the best institute and the faculties are so friendly and understanding. It feels like home. The teaching method of faculties is very easy and all the faculties are specialised in their field. In every 6 months exams are held semester-wise and it's very easy to pass an exam.

Class Size: 12Course Fees: INR 97500 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many internship opportunities are been provided by the campus. There are no particular companies associated with JD institute. It totally depends upon the vacancy available in the field you chose in fashion design.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is been divided into four installments. Every 3 months fee has to be deposited. And after the 5th semester, the internship is important for 3 months and the institute provides you with that time and it also tells us the various job opportunities.

Campus Life

Life at the JD campus is very good and it's quite engaging with teachers and other mates. They all are helpful and supportive and every 6 months there is a party and all the festivals are celebrated and other curricular activities add to our knowledge. All classrooms are air conditioned, the ambiance is very good and all required facilities are been provided. Journals are provided at regular intervals.

Campus placements starts from 7th semester Many known brands and companies visited the college including amazon nyka snitch etc... Highest package was of 5200000 and average package is of 600000 No such idea about percentage of students getting placements Probably opening my own jewelry brand in the world market

Behind The Seams: Life at NIFT Jodhpur.

Placement Experience:

So, the students are eligible for placements after the 8th semester, which is after they graduate. As for Fashion Communication (FC), the companies range from news channels like NDTV, to companies like Shopper's Stop, Magazine outlets like Vogue, and Media channels like MTV, almost every sub field requires FC students, given the vast area of our studies. You can get the proper details on Official NIFT FC website, since these are just the details from the top of my head. Also, I have to admit I'm not very well informed about the placement situations or the statistical numbers, but as far as I have heard from the seniors, almost every graduate leaves with a job, or chooses to get into freelancing. The highest package received was by one of my seniors, which is 24lpa, and the average is approx 15lpa. As for my plans after getting my degree, I'm still exploring, since I'm in sem 4, and only halfway thru my degree. I'm leaning towards either Fashion Journalism, Styling, PR and Brand Management or Creative Direction, but I'm still keeping my options open.

My Days at MUJ

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum would prepare you 60% for the real world and real problems that are faced in actual fields because the basic things are taught once you go do a job the problems are quite different then what we think. We aren't taught what or do if the cutting team cut the pattern in the wrong orientation and now the flowers are facing down.
