Remarks

Overall the college is really great in everything whether it be extra curricular activities, events, fests, internships, academics, etc Amity university covers every thing except the fees is really high.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In my course i.e interior designing we have 8 semesters each of 6 months and there are internal marking and external marking done and accordingly we get grade. Intermal is of 30 marks and external of 70 marks.

Placement Experience

3.5

I am right now in 3 rd year, i havent yet applied for an internship but there are many couses for which internship is provided, companies come to the college and accordingly to the interview and aptitude based questions students are selected.

College Events

5

There are almost every festival every event celebrated in Amity university. Whether it be Janmastmi or a college fest. Every event is celebrated with a huge participation. The main events include: Amity leadership fest- biggest fest in amity Sangathan- Sports event which goes on for more than a month

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is a bit expensive. It varies for different courses. It is expensive because of its brand name. People who are not that rich it becomes a bit hard for them to pay the fees. Like in my course the fees is really expensive its around 70,000 per sem. And there are 8 sem overall.

Fees and Financial Aid

In every course if a person comes first in his or her class in each sem he gets 50% scholarship for the sem he or she comes first in. And a person who gets 90% and plus gets 100% scholarship for every sem.

Campus Life

4.5

As already said the campus is really good and there is a particular event called sangathan for sports. We get to know that the extracurricular activities are really good and the variety is really great. A person can choose from a slot of various games.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel of amity is really good. Its infrastructure and facilities are good compared to other hostels i have seen. There are ac rooms and without ac room in the hostel. There are 3 hostels for boys and one hostel for girls.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors are really helpful in everything. I can say this from my personal experience. I have learned a lot from seniors. They guide you really well. They even recommend you companies we can try in while applying for internship.

Admission

I was first asked to submit my academic results, after getting reviewed i was asked to give the entrance exam. After completing the entrance exam i was then asked to give an interview. Then i got selected

Faculty

4

The faculty of our college is really good. They will answer to our questions even if they are not on duty or in campus. They are really helpful in everything. Amity university has really great faculty members who provide you knowledge with everything they have got.

Placement Experience:

So, the students are eligible for placements after the 8th semester, which is after they graduate. As for Fashion Communication (FC), the companies range from news channels like NDTV, to companies like Shopper's Stop, Magazine outlets like Vogue, and Media channels like MTV, almost every sub field requires FC students, given the vast area of our studies. You can get the proper details on Official NIFT FC website, since these are just the details from the top of my head. Also, I have to admit I'm not very well informed about the placement situations or the statistical numbers, but as far as I have heard from the seniors, almost every graduate leaves with a job, or chooses to get into freelancing. The highest package received was by one of my seniors, which is 24lpa, and the average is approx 15lpa. As for my plans after getting my degree, I'm still exploring, since I'm in sem 4, and only halfway thru my degree. I'm leaning towards either Fashion Journalism, Styling, PR and Brand Management or Creative Direction, but I'm still keeping my options open.

Students become eligible for campus placement from 3rd year. The white crow is one of the best company who takes students. Highest package is 30000-40000 and the lowest package is 15000-20000. 80% of students get placements. I want to further pursue my higher studies in masters in fashion designing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum would prepare you 60% for the real world and real problems that are faced in actual fields because the basic things are taught once you go do a job the problems are quite different then what we think. We aren't taught what or do if the cutting team cut the pattern in the wrong orientation and now the flowers are facing down.
