What Students Say

Likes

Well the faculty is good and since its a university so exams are comparatively easier as the same teachers make the ques paper.
Vast campus with lots of greenery and open space.
Seniors are pretty helpful and always help you out.

Dislikes

The Fees. Despite being a govt. Institute the fees for B.tech , BCA, MBA, BBA is quite high as these courses are self financed.
Placements are not great. Most of the students are places in sales with highest package around 12- 14 LPA. The placement cell is run by students themselves.
Lack of fests and other co-curricular activities. Lack of hostel rooms for boys.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is one thing i dont like so much about this university...the curriculum is pretty old. Unlike many private universities and other good institutions, the follow older AKTU curriculum including subjects and topics that are the history of industries.

Placement Experience

The Placements are not so great. But also B.tech here was introduced in 2017 thats not so old aso i guess its natural to take some time. The average package is around 4 LPA and highest package is averages around 12-14 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is pretty high as compared to the facilities and resources they provide. I personally feel bad about this. Students can apply for UP govt. Scholarships. Those who are from other states can apply for NSP scholarship.

Campus Life

The campus has a pretty big ground for cricket, football, volleyball, a huge basketball court, a gym, etc. but there is nearly no organisation of any sports event (around 1 or 2 per year only, that too not so huge) the classrooms are the classic old styled ones, No DC, etc.

Admission

Admission happens through UPTAC counseling. For that you have to clear JEE mains exam. Any rank between 120000-160000 would be good enough for u to land in CSE. Register on UPTAC website once registration starts and once u are allotted a seat, come for final submission.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is good. They are knowledgeable and have good grasp on subject. We can approach them for any help. Some of them are a little rude sometimes but that depends on person to person. Hope that helps.

B. Tech information technology is the course which has the duration of 4 years. To get admission at this institution which is one of the very good institutions providing the course, you are supposed to have passed your class 12th 50% marks. Life at an IIT is really awesome it gives you all opportunities to grow up your interest in any field. Doors to all are open and our college helps us a lot in this we have a strong training and placement cell which arranges all companies to visit our college. A negative remark is that our campus is open to all so you may notice a cow walking as your partner inroads.

Remarks:

One of the best college for engineering in India. Many crave to take admission in IIT's. IIT BHU currently ranks 8th among IIT's. For rank around 1800 in JEE ADVANCED, IIT BHU was one of the greatest choice I could have. Beside this placement of IIT BHU is really awesome, coding culture is one more add on to it.

Nice college

Remarks:

Academically, if you manage your time well, you can do well. Teachers are great. Students are extremely friendly. There are many places to relax. Big companies come for campus placements. Faculty is hardworking. Labs are full-fledged. There is also a training and placement cell. Campus is lush green. There are 2 canteens and a cafeteria and a Nescafe outlet.

Structure of LU new campus.

I think the college curriculum is good as compare to private college. There is no 9:00 to 5:00 pm working for students. Some college is good because they have good faculty and exposure.There is moderate exposure. I applied private college but can't get because of some money issues.
