Likes

Great faculty, all the teaching staff has the phd qualifications
best in academics, try to impart full knowledge of that particular subject in the students
Biggest campus you'll ever witness in the whole of India

Dislikes

Lesser focus on co-curricular activities and development of same
Not such a student friendly place, you have to be on your for nearly everything
a lot of subjects in each sem (9 to 10 average) for all the graduation courses they offer

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses prescribed and the subjects in those courses are the most practically oriented such as they provide you a wide knowledge about the topic and it's application in the real world, the only thing is that the no. of subjects are considerably more such as 8-9 in a single semester

As a first year student, i don't know much about the placements they offer but the university has indeed a great name and regard in the whole country, they do offer research programs on post graduation levels

Fees and Financial Aid

as a governmental education institute, the fees are adequate and they don't hike them as per my knowledge there are many scholarships available for the needy and the deprived students rest SC/ST scholarships, the ones offered everywhere are indeed available Some scholarships are also available for the ones who perform the best academically

Campus Life

They do conduct the yearly youthfest All genres of books and journals are abundantly available in the libraries Classrooms are equipped with projectors and some with big screens They do offer good sport related opportunities but lesser extracurricular activities No such clubs as of now

Admission

+2 with 60% marks in either PCM or PCB, varies according to different courses All types of forms and processes are available on the official site Reservation of seats is there exams are indeed frequent but not so difficult They should focus more on advertisement of admissions

a very good faculty to student ratio (788 teaching staff and 4033 students on roll as of 2023-24 session) All the teaching faculty has the qualification of P.H.D i.e they are masters in their subject and have plenty of teaching experience You can easily approach any teaching faculty in their respective designated offices, every 10 students are also assigned their respective advisors

A genuine review of LPU university specially for agriculture students

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit in placements after 7th semester , there's interview based skill classes from 1st semester , for agriculture students companies like itc agro , dhanuka , corteva visit for in campus placements . Average package for agri students is 5-6 lakhs , nearly 75-80% students get placement offers . I'm planning to do buisness after my graduation or takeover my family buisness .

Life in PAU

Placement Experience:

During last semester students become eligible for placements. Companies visited are Relaince, HDFC BANK, Swiggy, Godrej foods ltd. and many more. Avg package is around 6-7 lakhs per annum. students max dont go for placements they rather go for masters degree. My plans are to become an entrepreneur.

Admission:

degree experience

well to be honest I have not applied to any other college as i just want do bsc agriculture in this university. but due to my rank i was unable to selected for takinf admission in bsc agriculture. so i preferred this degree over it as due to update academic ( bsc horticulture & forestry consider same as bsc agriculture) which help in making eligible for giving paper of ADO( agriculture development officer) . As to take admission in this university under this degree first u have to give paper CET( common entrance test) on the basis of number optain ranking is given( in this test 11th & 12 th syllabus comes , mcqs. Omr sheets have to be filled at the time of paper. well cuts goes near about 600 rank from 250 on ward as 2-3 councilling are conducted. well my experience about the admission was not so good as i got admission in this program in 3rd councelling....Read More
