Likes

Environment of the campus is too good.Its best place to study near Mighty River Brahmaputra.
Authorities are very responsible regarding any issues faced by the students.

Dislikes

No close campus. As a prestigious university a close campus is much required
No bus service. Transportation of the students is a difficult task as there is no bus facility.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am a student of geology honours. And it the the best department tuh study in our university. It is great for placement in the ongc company. And department is very discipline for any kind of conduct of exam in the proper time. They always help us to study the proper syllabus.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 7700 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for my honours is 7700 which is not preety much high but as a government university it should bemore less as many students are from economically weaker section. But there are manu more scholarships for the students which is a great benefit.

Campus Life

Cotton university is rich in culture and sports. Varsity week is one of the best event in this university. All the students participate in various events and enjoy the most. The best time to enjoy in the university is this week.

Admission

The eligibility for honours in geology is to be 10+2 pass is science stream. The admission undergoes under Cuet conducted by NTA. And their is reservations for General OBC ST EWS cultural and sports quota

Faculty

The faculty of our university are very helpful. They always help the students and always encourage the students to attend classes. Most of the faculty's have great bond with the students by which students get more easy to discuss their queries

My college experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

One sessional exam and one semester exam per month reduces the burden on the students. Seminars are compulsory and they carry marks according to our curriculum and that helps us to improve our presentation skills and improve our public speaking skills. The sessional exam is not that hard and you can score well in semester exam if you solve previous years question papers.

Assam University Silchar Pros and cons

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements I guess. Companies like Infosys visit here. Avg package is of 4.5 L per annum. Higher the academic performance of a student, higher the chance of getting placements
