About Mar Ivanios college, Trivandrum

The course offering here includes dual degree program. So we'll be a dual degree graduate after the course.. We can go to any of the two mains for the Post graduation. This course needs more practical knowledge, unfortunately here the laboratory exposure is a bit low. We have to go for private labs for trainings and all. Laboratory facilities here is still bad, but the faculties here are responsible and they will help us do internship. The exams are conducted in a semester in which a short semester is there. We can't efficiently prepare for the examination.

At present college doesn't provide any internships but they will help us to do the internship outside somewhere and the faculties will frequently enquire about us. There is a project which has to be done compulsory which is also done in private laboratories or somewhere.

Course fee here is about 5000 a year. If we opt to stay at the hostel then it'll cost around 70000 per year. College provides a proficiency award for the top scorer in every department in a year. We can get scholarship privided by the government. College doesn't provide any scholarship programs.

Here there is a big fest happening every year called ivanofest. It was happened this year after a 5 year gap because of covid pandemic. And also college days, union days are also celebrated. Every year they conduct a basketball tournament since this college is known for basketball and cricket. Sanju Samson was studied here. Multimedia classrooms are here for better understanding and somewhat every classrooms have projectors. This college has several clubs and they conduct several programs for charity and enjoyment purposes.

Two college hostels are there in which one has both sharing and single rooms and the other has only single rooms. In a single room we have a bed, chai, table and a small rack. Meal quality here is not bad and menu is good. Registration process is done after approaching the warden. He'll give rooms only based on some criteria. Also we can stay in a PG or rent a house near to the college.

We have to pass the 12th exams with higher marks then only we will get admission here through merit. I am enrolled here through reservation and i have good marks too. The application process can be done by contacting the computer center. Reservation benefits can be availed and for those students they don't have to pay the course fee or hostel fee. Examinations will be conducted without any delay and the valuation also done without delay. I think the admission here should be based on entrance exams which will help the faculties since they are very good.

Faculties here are very well aware about the students and they treat everyone separately. They uses multimedia classrooms for better understanding and they have an internship program in the 2nd year which is done in private laboratories. They'll take extra classes if students didn't understand the topics and we can ask doubts at any time. They are always available for us.

After the admission we have to meet the principal and he will ask some question about the course. Questions are very simple and basic about our topic only. We don't need study for the interview. It'll be conducted as just a process.
