Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this college because of the cyber security course.The real world aspect of teaching is very low. Student don't get hands on experience of the syllabus just the theory part.The teachings should include the real world experrience of the syllabus to increase the knowledge of the students further.

Placement Experience

The campus placement happens on the 4th year semester 8. The companies visited for campus placment are UST Global, Qspiders, ViPRO, TCS, Infosys, etc. The highest Lpa was 5lakhs. The average Lpa was 50000.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for merit student sis 35000, for management students it is 65000, and for NRI students it is 125000. The hostel fees is 4500. These are the current fees. The exam fees change according to the changes made by the university.

Campus Life

The main events happining in he college are the Tech, Arts, and Sports fest. The arts & tech fest happens in the odd semester & the sports fest happens in the even semester.There are different types of books available in the library. The classrom is a basic classroom with a projector(some don't have that). The Arts, Sprots,& Tech events are average compared to other colleges due to funding issues. Mainly there are IEEE, IEDC groups and some chess club, music club, cyber club, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is very average. An average room with fan and lights. The hostel fees is bit high for the facilities and meels provided. There are some urgent maintaince that need to be done. The meals are a mixture of veg and non veg but the menu can be updated.

Hostel Fee: INR 4500 per year

Admission

I took the KEAM entrance exam. 40000 and below students can get admission easily. Also there are some reservation based on cast. overall the admission process was relatively easy. The entrance exam was based on maths, physics,& chemistry. The registration for the course was done through KEAM website.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is little less. The teachings of the faculty members are good at first. They explain tha classes very well. But towards the end of semester they just try to finish the portion. We can interact with faculty members when they are free, there are not many constrains to meet the faculties.

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Placement Experience:

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

College of engineering Kaloopara review as a student

I had applied for other colleges but I picked this one because here the placements are excellent and top notch companies come here for hiring students. I availed of the government merit quota for admission so the fees were 35k per year otherwise it would be 75 k. the college atmosphere is calm and quiet. Since my admission was in the middle of the pandemic we had both online and offline admission procedures, since offline was convenient for me I chose it.
