Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is similar to most of the universities which includes basics of engineering streams such as civil, mechanical, computer science, chemistry, physics, mathematics, electrical etc. The curriculum as such doesn't prepare for all the real world problems but it somehow manages to make the student employable thus helping them get some employment even if it's only to fulfill one's basic needs, you will get somewhere if you study it completely. The teaching can be more oriented with rdal world problems solving approach and audio visual lessons can help jnderstanding of some concepts better than the traditional way of teaching. Thr frquency of exams is, two mid term exams inclusive of theory and practicals in each term and the finals end sems so that makes 3 exams per semester and assignments separately, so we are always short of vacation, or say no vacations at all, this is the worst ghing about this college.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Recently we have been asked to take the summer internship opportunity, as they offer incampus as well as outhouse internships at industry level. Here they teach industry basics, including most prominent coding languages, tools and other aspects to make you industry ready and more employable.

Placement Experience

3

Campus placements are available for students from 7th sem onwards, many national and international companies come to our college for placements but the packages offered are at a little low as the tests given by students. Highly qualified students with great academic excellence are able to get packages of 10,12 lpa only. The average package as of 2022 was 5.8 lpa and highest was 44 lpa, while now the highest on campus placements is 12 lpa and average is probably reduced due to inflation

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fess is not so high, and considerable for the edication and facilities so provided, also the campus runs on green energy. Some charges are not revealed until exams arrive so they might be seen as hidden charges but you somehow know that they will be levied upon you. Uniform is compulsory in the college classes which has extra charges other than fees. The college does inform you about the scholarships you can avail depending on different criterias sucb as st, sc, obc. Financial help is not provided to general students. Campus placements were good before inflation but now they have reduced to around 30-40% so don't depend on campus placements.

Campus Life

3

Pravah is our annual fest held for about 5 days, the last day being the annual day celebration. Ig hosts multiple events and enjoyment opportunities for students, it is like a good event but not as good as you would expect, strict rules and security issues always ruin your most awaited events and demotivate us from joining it. Others fests are ici fest managed by civil department and other small events mnaged by student clubs.

Admission

The admission process was through reap but now onwards it is going to change yo solely college level and jee main and class 12th percdntage are the basis of your reap rank and then you get admission depending on your rank and number of applications for the same course. Admission process is quite simple but a little bit time taking, but the staff is helpful so no worries.

Faculty

Most of the facilty member are very good at teaching and friendly in behaviour, they are very helpful to the students wanting to learn. The teacher-student ratio is 1:64 during lectures and mentor-student ratio is 1:32 which seems quite okay, but at the same time, the teachers voiice becomes inaudible at the back benches of the class, making it difficult to understand what they are saying. Interaction between teachers and students are two sided, a teacher tries to interact equally with every student but it also depends if the student wants to respond or ignore it. So overall my experience with the cacult members is pretty good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food is a vast subject and people will not stop eating, so the scope of food technology is just amazing. The college has its own faculty for different subjects. This btech course is of 4 years ie 8 semesters. Each semester has midterms and final semester exams. Last semester is for an internship. Midterms are of 20 marks, practical of 30 marks and final semester theory exams of 50 marks, so passing the exam is damn easy. Regular classes with good faculties make this course easy.
