CET i got 1500 rank i opted this college,because it very well known for its education government college best faculty near to my place transport availbility.

Course ece the best it has vlsi,microprocessor,radar,unique matlab,micro controller,microprocessor,digital signal processing,antenna,power electronics engineering design and graphics,chemistry,physics.

College has not provided any internship we tried from our own level because of college reputation,we have not faced any problem in getting internship students went to ciso, cdac.

There are of 2 types free seat around 45 paid seat - around 80 compare to other private colleges,its very very reasonable.Private colleges charge like anything.

Yes, scholarship provided to the top students.It got delayed due to some reasonsbut whoever got it was happy.

Everything was awesome gender ratio g/b - 30 /70hostel parties yes,it was there and mast. full of enjoyment workshops yes cultural societies yes and tolerance with regards to gender no issues ethnicity yes, race,religion no sexual orientation no issues, politics little and economic status ok.

Hostel facility too goodand too cheapits very good as compared to outside pg and all, its very much cost effectivediffent varities.

Awesome seniors were too good initial they did little ragging to know each other,But later we came to know each other so well that we use to get help in terms of technical and other needs.

Exam Structure

Exams are always hectic.Internals are not easy as in private colleges fair marks and that only go as internals in fianls toolab is ok.

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

I am interested in computer science so I choose this course to learn programing how the code works in computer. Student ratio is 22 in class. Teacher are well qulified and there teaching method is easy to understand. There two term exam in 6 months and these exam is not difficult

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

I didn't apply for other colleges. I chose this college as it was near my hometown and there were circumstances which prevented me from going too far from home. That's why, I chose this college. The admission process is simple. You need to have passed your senior secondary education in any central and state board. Exams accepted are JEE Mains and Board examinations. 60% percentage is needed in PCM course in the senior secondary or in diploma course from any Institute or university. Application form is available online in the university website only.
