Course Curriculum Overview
I was a upsc aspirant in inital days of my college and so I choose the subject sociology as I heard that St. Xaviers's ranchi's department of sociology is too good and yes it is really upto the mark in real as well. Teachers teaching methods are good enough to make you understand the whole theory in a proper way.
Internships Opportunities
The internship process is highly easy and convenient like your department faculties only let you know about the jobs and also prepare you for interviews and the things that are expected to be asked and like you just need to prepare for it your level best.
Placement Experience
The placement are good enough like the packages cross 12 lakh minimum and 28 lakh maximum but yes the student must be qualified enough to attain that package like the placement packages ratios are 6:10 you can say.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure as of sociology department was 38 thousand in the first year and later increased by 2000 every other year however its a little bit on a pricy side but just because the course and faculty is good enough the course fee can be managed.
Campus Life
The overall experience is good enough however it isn't conducting fest from past 4 years which is sad for all the students however its personal but overall the college sports and education is good enough to take admission without giving it a third thought. Like second thought is I mean mandatory only.
Admission
The admission process was literally very smooth for me as beacuse when i had taken admission it was 2021 just after the coronna phase and so only my 12th percentile was considered for the admission and there was no enterance test for me but as year passed now I guess that enterance exams aur being conducted from year 2023.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is like 3:5. Like in every department there is a good amount of teachers and also well qualified. They look at your progress or downfall personally every week. Even in college the copies are checked in every 2 months weither the notes is up to date or not. Teachers provide some external knowledge to students as well for their overall development. Seminars and other special leactures are conducted for the students for specific career knowledge.
