Remarks

Good thing was that the senior students & few teachers were very cooperative bad thing is that the fee is too expensive playing ground is small area is small.

Entrance Preview

I gave Common entrance test (CET) and got ran in 7800 i have opted for Chandigarh engineering college, Landran but not got seat in that college so, i opted ludhian college of engineering & technology(LCET) as it was near to my home i got admission in it very easily i did b. tech in mechanical stream from LCET.

College offers many courses including B.Tech in mechanical, automobile, computer science, information technology, electronics & communication other courses offered are bca, bba, mba etc.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship from Escorts construction equipment limited, faridabad college didn't helped me to get internship in that company i myself managed to get that with the help of my relatives.

There were very less companies came in our college for the placement no one from my class got any package from other streams few students got placed in reputed companies.

College Events

Only freshers party was organised by college annually at that time when i was in college but nowadays college is organising annual functions, sports day also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As our college is affiliated to PTU the fee structure is very expensive in my times it was 40000rs per semester but nowadays its about 45000rs per semester for B.Tech all streams.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't got any scholarship or loan facility from my college I don't know if anybody received the same.

Campus Life

Campus life was good library was very good with all types of books were there CAD/CAM labs were also good we played cricket in college ground in our free times with our classmates.

Hostel Facilities

There are separate Hostel building for boys and girls hostel rooms are well furnished with air cooler for each room and almirahs are provided.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students were very cooperative they were helping us in studies also by providing study related material at our exam time there was no raging at all.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was good our college built a separate building to conduct exams which is fully air-conditioned.

Faculty

Few teachers were cooperative most of the teachers were not experienced students who passed from this college are getting job as a professor in same college but the environment of college was good.

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

By the way, the college facility was very good and the infrastructure was also very good, but as far as my experience is when I went to get my security after having the pass out from the college, how was the college sent back to me, I used to try for about 2 years every three or four times. Experienced faculty and helpful Training/Placement cell

To be honest, Its upto the student and his skills which can land him in a job. The college can refer him to some companies but clearing the interview is upto his own skills.
