Course Curriculum Overview
My opinion about the curriculum is neutral. But there needs a lot of moderation in it to fit in with the requirements of this dynamic world. Here a systematic study of economic theories and concepts are done. But practical knowledge is hardly imparted
Internships Opportunities
Various internships are suggested to each departments by the carreer and placement cell in the college which includes working with NGOs, tribal areas, news agencies etc. along with this various departments are also mandated to carry out various intership opportunities to students.
Placement Experience
Placement of various banks such as federal bank and other institutions are conducted in the campus with the initiative of campus and placement cell. Also various other programs and orientations related to future career opportunities, post-graduation, competitive exams are also given by the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for a year that is, two semesters is Rs.2,000/- only excluding exam fees which is Rs. 5,00/- in each semester. Various scholarships provided by central and state governments can be availed including e-grants, central sector scholarship, higher education scholarship etc. College also provides intership opportunities and placement
Campus Life
My personal opinion regarding the campus enviornment is non satisfactory. Club activities are not that prominent. Campus have a long way to go in waste management facilities and sanitation requirements. But I should also mention that it plays way better in other infrastructural facilities.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is average. It costs about Rs.6,500/- a month for a room of 3-4 persons. Only bed and a cupboard is alloted in the rooms. There is common bathroom facilities and reading area. Food is average. It follows a strict menu. Lack cleanliness. Registration process for hostel is separate. After taking admission you can directly approach the hostel authority.
Admission
Plus-two is the eligibility. There was no entrance exam of any kind but a personal interview to identify the character of each student. The admission process is detailed in the prospectus published by college. It is pretty much simple. All forms and documents were available in the college website itself.
