Course Curriculum Overview
First, the curriculum syllabus & topics are pretty standard, what you see in other MBA colleges. So theoretical aspect is fine. It covers all the topics that you'll expect in a normal MBA course. The teachers are experienced but not very good in teaching, to be honest. You will feel its a tier 3 college. As far as exams are concerned, there are two mid semester exams & one end semester exam, in a single semester.
Internships Opportunities
Internships opportunities are available, but not every internship is paid. If you can grab an offcampus internship it is much better. Typically you can 2 months summer break where you'll officially be doing the internship. Very few Companies give PPO. Big & famous companies like EY, PWC, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs etc. do not come for oncampus internships & full time job also
Placement Experience
Campus placement is ok ok. Not very good if I am being honest. Average package can be around 6 lakh CTC. Some companies that hire are Reliance Industries Limited, Hindustan Unilever, Voltas, Maruti Suzuki, Cognizant etc. Apart from placements some students prepare for government competitive exams like UPSC, SSC etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is ok for a MBA degree. Its not very high as some private institutions or IIM. Do keep in mind the standard will also be lower. State government provided scholarship is available for the students. You can expect approximately 50K in scholarship amount.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is average. Its an old college and it shows in the infrastructure. It is one area where this college can improve. Campus life is also not very exciting or extraordinary, just average to say the least. Also if you're in hostel you'll enjoy more than a day scholar. Various clubs are there like robotics club, aero club, drama club etc. You can choose what you like. These clubs organise various activities from time to time.
Admission
The admission process was fairly simple & straight forward. HBTU conducts its own counseling for admission in MBA program. You should have atleast 55% in your under graduation course. If you have cleared CAT then you can apply for the MBA program here & based on the ranking/ percentile you'll get admission. For counseling related information keep checking the college website.
