IIT BHU From My Eyes

I chose to pursue bachelors in civil engineering due to my interests in core branches. Rather than the curiculum I was influenced by my interests to join Civil Engineering. In a semester there are two set of exams with continuous assessment over the semester. All the things have some weightageweightage which helps us to prepare us for real world. The teaching methods are good but can be improved especially the laboratories part.

After the seventh semester in case of Btech students students sit in the college placements. Around 200-250 companies visited the campus last year and around 800 offers were made. The highest package offered was 1.68 crore per annum while the average was around 22 lakhs per annum. Around all the students who sit for placements get placed successfully. I plan to prepare for UPSC Or other after my degree completion.

The tution fees doesn't hike so much regularly in fact it is fixed to 1,06,500 per year for general. The complete coat of education would range from 10 to 12 pakka for four years. This includes all the costs. Different types of scholarshipa are available but by the state and central governments.

There are many festa held throughout the year. Out of which the most anticipated are Kashiyatra ( Cultural Fest), Technex( Technology Fest), Spardha(Sports Fest) etc. There are two types of library one is the common for all the students and one in each department. It has varieties of books. There are many clubs and student run groups in the college. They range from dance to music to sports to literature to robotics to many more cultural activities.

Our room is of good size and is very much comfortable. The newer hoatels are very good for standard of living. Our hostel room has two big almiranhs with tables for each student and bed for each. The rooms are spacious. The hoatels have very good internet access to the college intranet. Both LAN and wifi options are available. The mess food is overall of good quality. The hostel registetation is a very simple process for which we have to submit only our fees receipt.

The admission was based on the rank obtained in JEE Advanced exam. First we have to clear the JEE Mains cuttoff to sit for JEE Advanced exam. I didn't avail the reservation. The application for JEE mains can be done on the the official website. It is conducted by NTA. It is conducted twice a year. Afterwards we have to register for JEE Advanced. After JEE Advanced result is out we have to register for JOSAA counselling. In it we have to fill our college prefrences and the branches we want to see.
