The campuse beauty is the first thing I liked
The student interaction is also so good .
The curriculum they follow is also something I liked

The competition is too much.Sometimes it is too burden
The campus location being in north east causing it to have less exposure
being among brightest in India is a little stressful

Course Curriculum Overview

Well according to me I'll rate it somewhere between 8 and 9. The faculty here I got is one of the most prominent faculty u can get in India. The course is not that tough in the first year but as time goes it hardens

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee depends on the reservation background the student comes from. All kind of scholarships approved by the government are accepted and provided by the institute. The placements are one of the best you can find in India

Campus Life

Personally to me I believe this is the most beautiful campus residing beside the banks of brahmaputra river,the campus is filled with greenary. It has vast variety of clubs in which students can join and it's not only studying place also a learning experience for many new things

I got admitted in IIT by my rank from jee advanced All reservation benefits can be availed The application form everything for the admission process can be found in the josaa counseling portal. I used to study for 8-10 hrs day

Placement Experience:

The college placement aren't much in our college because our college is too deep inside the area it's like a village area companies find it difficult to come here. Companies mostly come for chemical and mechanical engineering students to hire them. For electrical and civil you have to apply off campus. I don't know the highest package from our college but the recent package that was offered by mahindra to mechanical engineering students was 19000 per month. Atleast 35% students get on campus placement. My plan after degree is to pursue mtech or maybe BFA in Seoul, South Korea or maybe find a job outside india

Placement Experience:

The placement of this university is not upto the mark. The highest package recieved by a student was 37 LPA. He was an ECE student. The average LPA is around 6-7 LPA. I think it's a bit low compared to NITs/IITs. But compared to other central and state universities its quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is btech and since it is an IIT the faculty are the best in their fields profs here have done PhD from Stanfords of the world and the prof-student ratio is very healthy. Although there are a lot of exams in the ballpark weekly one or the other exam will be there and the exams are very tough but grading is relative.

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for internship placement in the 5th semester and for the full time, you're eligible for campus placement in the 7th semester. 223 offers were made for 22 pass out students. Some of the companies that visited our campus are Amazon Deloitte ZS Associates Tekion Mindtickle Gamescraft. The highest package was 61.5 lakhs and the average package was 15.34 lakhs. 95.12 per cent of students got placed. My plan after college is to work as a software developer.

A glimpse of IIT Guwahati

For admission in this course you have to clear IIT JAM exam and secure a good rank under 100 of you are a general candidate. You can easily find the application details on Google. There are reservation benifits to avail which you can check on the website. A worth-reading review, for sure

The admission into all IITs will be through JEE ADVANCED exam. I was able to clear JEE MAIN exam with a good rank of AIR 1082 . Thus I got eligible to sit in JEE ADVANCED and cleared it with a decent rank of AIR 5152. The application process and alotment will be through JOSAA portal. I applied for all the top IITs (only for CSE & MNC as per my interest) and I'm a female OBC candidate(OBC RANK: 1002). So I got alotted MNC in IIT GUWAHATI . The cutoff in our year is around 1200 in OBC female category. JOSAA counselling portal takes fees of 3000 only and we give our order of preference in IITs , NITs and IIITs as per our interest and we will be alotted a seat as per our rank....Read More
