Remarks

The college management needs to take care of the water logging during monsoons as it become difficult to walk through the campus at times. Owing to the increase in the number of vehicles, it would be great if the parking space is increased.

Entrance Preview

In addition to gaining the masters degree in the field I opted for, I consider other developments necessary. Amity university is the one stop destination to gain the corporate smartness once you are passed out of here. They help you gain confidence and build a good personality.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is a beautiful blend where academics is suplemented by additional learnings like a foreign language and communications course. It meets the needs of all students-brilliant, mediocre and the less interested one. Each semester is a continuation of the other. After the completion of the course, one is capable to make sense of the entire journey.

Internships Opportunities

No, literature is a full time classroom course. The students are required to be a part of the clas and grasp the necessary knowledge of the course.

Placement Experience

4

The placement drive is conducted at a large scale. The in-house faculty takes the pain of inviting the companies and assisting the students before the placement drive begins. The companies that visit the college are mainly from Gurugram and Noida. No recommendations work here, its all merit-based.

College Events

5

Every department has its own cultural programmes spread throughout the year, inviting the entire college. In addition, there is an annual fest known as AYF or the Amity Youth Fest. It is the most awaited event by the students from other universities as well. One would get to see the local festivals celebrated here as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure depends completely on the course one opts for. There are some expensive courses, while some are affordable. The fee varies between INR 45,000-2,50,000 per semester, depending on the course. There is a provision for scholarships for the toppers which comes as a financial aid, significantly reducing the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is an in-house scholarship where the toppers get a cheque of some amount which they are free to use for any purpose. There is a reduced fee amount if you have previously studied at the university for any course, and you come back to study.

Campus Life

5

Amity is a city in itself with students from all across the world coming here to study. With ample options like a salon, department store, book store, gym, sports alley, restaurants, the students There is no gender domination and no racial biases. For ECA, students get to participate in inter-college debate, drama, singing and talent display activities. Events like Model UN are also conducted here.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facility comes with a segregation according to the affordability. The non-ac hostels are lesser in cost than the ac ones. The rooms are comfortably equipped with personal rooms where the students have a personal single bed, a study table, and a chair. The food is of a lower quality. But other food outlets on the H-block compensates the mess food.

Alumni/Alumna

An annual alumini meet is organised by the administration where they share their experiences and guide us through the thick and thin of the college. The seniors are cooperative enough to share their notes to assist you.

Exam Structure

The exams are rigorous. You would hardly find a week where you are not worried about assessments. There are research papers, weekly assessments, which add to your score. There is no dependence on the end semester exam. The exam structure is flexible which lets the students re-appear in the next semester in case they fail or feel that they have underperformed.

Admission

There is a common entrance exam for everybody. The exams are checked and personal interviews are conducted. On the basis of the test results and PI, your admission is decided. The documents are cross checked and the fees is submitted through online banking, DD, or cash.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is friendly with a forward-looking demeanour. The doors are always open for the students to get their doubts cleared. The faculty go beyond their jurisdiction to ensure the best experience for students. I would say that without such faculty, amity would not be as it is today.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I wanted to become an English Professor, the course really helped me a lot in getting an insight into English Literature. The professors are very encouraging. The curriculum not only relies on the traditional method of teaching but also various co curricular activities are conducted to prepare the students for the real world. Each student is given an opportunity to prove herself. As the exams are conducted annually we get a lot of time to prepare accordingly.
