Remarks

Eligibility for the bachelor's in information technology from Islamia College of science and commerce Hawal Srinagar at that time was on merit basis and cutoff for the respective was 60%.I submitted my application form and fees on college website.

Course Curriculum Overview

Since my childhood I had interest in this field like computer science, so I opted for it . The curriculum enhanced my skills and knowledge. We had the best faculty there who ensured to complete the syllabus within the time and conduct exams as per college's curriculum.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 14172 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first year I had to submit Rs.11,425 , for 2nd year the fees was Rs.12322 and for the final year Rs.14172. They didn't provided us any kind of placements or internships neither they provide any kind of financial aids for the deserving students who couldn't manage such amount in one go.

Campus Life

There were no annual or technical festivals. The library in Islamia College of Science and commerce is one of thr best library I have seen so far, each and every book related to our courses was available there.

Overall a good University with below average placements.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

Placement Experience:

Placements aren't that good and for Zoology it's like the research roles in labs and under research professors so mostly a salary of 30-50k is what students of Zooly gets at our college and even DU stidnets get the same.

GOVT M.A.M COLLEGE,JAMMU : A Success path to life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
