Spandan days seven days annual festival where students from many medical colleges perform many co curricular activities
Lister league football, where the batch wise students play football as a series and overall championship
Pondicherry itself with beautiful beaches and auroville globe and the roaming days

Dislikes

No placement from campus interviews. But reference helps from senior consultants

Course Curriculum Overview

The course from first year to till the course completion is full of all required theory and practical sessions that moulds the individual to become best in the career. Students gets the best curriculum from the best faculties in india and are getting the best practical knowledge

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

Internships Opportunities

One year optional internship with a stipend of 4950 per month. This gives the best of practical knowledge for the students and a full time exposure for the students to become a proper professional. Internship is valuble for the money

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is just at maximum 8000 per year and it is worth for the money. The whole of the three year course fee will be less than twenty five thousand rupess. There is no financial aid from campus. But students can avail the state specific scholarships

Campus Life

Its the best medical college in south india. Cant wtite without mentioning the one week annual spandan festival where most of the medical colleges from south india will come and perform their program. Those are the best of jipmer days

Hostel Facilities

I stayed my three year of course duration in lister house. It feel like my second home. The bonds that i created during my lister days are the best of best. The rent for hostel is just 500 per month. In addition mess fees of around 3000 per month

Hostel Fee: INR 6000 per year

Admission

Need to pass the entrance exam after applying online and doing all the paper submission online as and when required. Then need to attend the offliñe counselling process in person on the day they say with all the original certificates

Interview Experience

The entrance exam is moderate to difficult level. The exam is objective types with multiple choice questions. There is no interview. But physical counselling and on site physical examination for the selected candidates.

Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. The cutoffs are really high for mbbs admission and it is usually around 300 AIR for the general category students....Read More

In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
