Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of jipmer is entirely different from other nursing college. It have both practical and theoretical education from the first year onwards. This will make the student more confident to appear before a patient.

Class Size: 94Course Fees: INR 11410 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship for nursing students started from this year. You will get an amount of 13000 per month. The internship has to be completed under jipmer. You will be working as nurse during this internship period.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is 11410. Which will change during the coming years. Hostel fees is 20000. The mess fee will depend upon the mess you choose. It will be mostly 3000 to 4000.Various merit based scholarship are provided by the NSP portal.

Campus Life

Spandan is the most celebrated event in jipmer. The students will get a leave for one week. Various other celebrations like onam, holi, pongal , deewali are celebrated here. JSA is the student association of jipmer.

Hostel Facilities

The room is well equipped with furniture. Well ventilated room are provided to the students. Each student will get their own coat, chair, table and wardrobe. No rooms have attached bathroom. The registration procedures are done along with admission.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

The student must have completed higher secondary education. The admission will be based on neet score. Puducherry residents will get reservation. The admission procedure will be only once a year. It will be held after neet exam.

Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
