Campus and hostel is extremely student friendly.
Faculties are so cooperative and always there us to guide us.
All extra curricular activities are held annually and every students actively participate in that.

Dislikes

Posting hours are too long for the students .
Holidays are less compared to private colleges.
Mess menu should be modified every 6 months.

I choose this course because i want to serve the society. Curriculum prepares u well for the job and higher studies. Improvement should be made in the practical aspects of course. Exams happens once in every year. Difficulty level is hard

Internships Opportunities

Internship is provided under jipmer and it is optional internship with ward ,intensive care unit and casuality posting with clinical exposure There should be shift wise duty in ward, icu ,etc. And also there there is opportunities to do research papers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is fixed for the course and is about Rs 6000 annually. The complete course of the education including all the compulsory charges is around Rs 50000 annually. NSP scholarships provide financial aid upto Rs 15000. There are no campus placements.

Campus Life

Jipmer spandan is college program conducted annually.it is a 7 day programme including all the cultural and sports activities. All the books related to medical field are available in the college library. Interclass programmes is held for the students to showcase their cultural and sports talents. Student groups such as SNA is actively in the college.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel room contains 24 hr electricity and water supply,room also has a cot ,table and chair along with a cupboard. The meal quality is high and thorough inspection is carried out to ensure food safety and hygiene. Hostel is provided during time of admission. The locality is extremely cooperative

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

Selection through completely based on neet conducted by nta Application details will be published on www.jipmer.edu.in Reservation under obc,sc st,ews,etc and also reservation for puducherry residents Exams is scheduled in the end of the academic year. Admission processs should be speeded up.

I also applied for ayurveda in kottakal arya vaidya sala and got a seat but I preferred studying in jipmer for a paramedical course rather than doing ayurveda. Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. The cutoffs are really high for mbbs admission and it is usually around 300 AIR for the general category students....Read More

In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
