Jipmer campis is big with lots of facilities for sports and some other things such as park
Hostel life is good.,not so strict rules,availability of different food menu.Campus itself is relaxing
It has good clinical exposure since all new facilities are available. Good teaching

Dislikes

Hostel rooms especially is very bad compare to other college.Its really hard to stay 3 person in one room
100 percent attendence for clinicals is really difficult.There is no consideration even if you are sick. The only way out is you have to compensate, for that students from far place are always in difficult position since their vacation will be cut sh
You have to be a year back if you could not pass in the University exam even if it is only for 1 mark.They will not consider anything under any circumstance

It is one among the best nursing college.For theory class you need 75 percentage attendance and for clinicals 100 percentage attendence is a must.In case you don't have 100 percent attendence you have to compensate for the hours you took leaves during your year end vacation.we have internal exams and then University exams

Class Size: 94Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees including academic fee and hostel fee in first year comes around 26k (excluding mess fees) For mess you have to opt for whichever you prefer which is available in the campus.The college did not have any scholarship or stipend

Campus Life

There are many festivals and extra curricular activities on jipmer which you can participate for whichever You're interested.Most known festival is Spandan which is held every year for 1 whole week.A good library which is available for 24/7 hr is available.Good and new facilities are available. There are many social groups which is helpful to the students

Hostel Facilities

Hostel especially for nursing student is not good.3 people have to share room which is very congested and sometimes very uncomfortable.Since different mess is available it depends on our choice which we like, we can get our own preferred meal but we cannot expected to get the meal from our pun place. Registration for hostel is not a hard process but since the rooms are not sufficient we sometimes have to wait to accommodate the hostel

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

Eligibility criteria is, you have to pass 12 and apply for neet exam. After the declaration of neet result and counseling for mbbs is over jipmer will open application for the bsc courses(including AHS).Through your rank you will get selected for the course

I also applied for ayurveda in kottakal arya vaidya sala and got a seat but I preferred studying in jipmer for a paramedical course rather than doing ayurveda. Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
