Behaviour of some faculties in nursing college..they need to be more respectful towards students..
Unnecessary interference of hostel warden in dressing of hostel students
Students cafeteria was not working for years

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is covering all the required areas of the subject. Teaching methods need to be changed Teachers need to make the classes more interactive and interesting by sharing real life incidents The institute is providing best clinical experience and exposure for their students Some of the faculty members are not sincere in their work. Clinical instructor visits clinical areas but rarely explains case scenarios in clinical settings.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 7500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees was increased only for bsc nursing students in 2022 to 7000/- Tuition fees per year - 3500(1st) 5000(2nd yr) 7000(3rd yr) 4500(4th yr) Other than these we need to pay exam fees with 500 /- per paper and for practicals extra 500/- for each subject. But that needs to be reduced.

September first week - Spandan Holi - March Books are available in jipmer Central library but will not be issued. College of nursing library issues books for reference. Led screen,aur conditioner and speaker is available in all classes of nursing college JSA jipmer student association is the students run organisation . Sports activities are really active in the college

Admission

Eligibility for bsc nursing: Completed 12th std in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and English subjects. Secure high percentile (above 96 ) in entrance exam conducted by jipmer college before admission. All details of application form,fee and date available in website www.jipmer.edu.in Reservation benefits :50% seats reserved for Puducherry candidates Exams in jipmer college are conducted at regular intervals and its difficulty level varies depending on subjects. Suggestions: Admission process need to be started every year in same month(preferably june-july) Avoid unnecessary lag between neet results and counseling dates. Hostel fee for the first year must be ensured to pay through any mode(cash/net banking)

From second year onwards we are posted in our respective departments and classes are given by the professors and residents in the cardiology department

I also applied for ayurveda in kottakal arya vaidya sala and got a seat but I preferred studying in jipmer for a paramedical course rather than doing ayurveda. Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
