Course Curriculum Overview

4

the curriculum included a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. fieldwork, internships, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, and industrial workshops enhance real-world applicability. the scientific and research methods we learn prepare us for further academic careers in research. improvements: practicing modern agricultural techniques like digital farming, drones or aeroponics will prepare us for our future endeavors. we had the semester system, where the exams were spaced out by 6 months. we had a total of 8 semesters. the difficulty level was normal to medium but the marking by the university was very harsh.

Fees and Financial Aid

tuition fees are fixed at the time of admission and it doesn't change for us. the tuition fee may increase for the new students who get new admission. cost of my education was 25,500 per semester which totaled 2,04,000 I didn't avail of any scholarship. but I know that every girl gets a scholarship from the Rajkisan portal. I got the opportunity to present my design for a portable mushroom mist maker which may get patented.

Campus Life

4

Campus life offers a vibrant social environment with opportunities to meet people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. our academic infrastructure included laboratories, libraries, lecture halls, and computer facilities. wide range of books was available which we could read or issue them for a week or so. projector room was available for proper explanations of some subjects. festival happens every 2-3 months many social clubs have been created by the student leaders of different departments.

Admission

Competitive exam, JET (Jet Entrance Test) for admission to BSc agriculture or its allied subjects in this exam, candidates are assessed on their knowledge in subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. cut-off depends upon the number of available seats and college counseling as candidates get to choose in which college/university they want to get admitted. application forms are available on the official website of JET Rajasthan. photos of documents are to be uploaded and the application fee is paid online. eligibility: 10+2 with science stream most preferably agriculture science reservation benefits are given to specific categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, etc the exam is conducted annually, usually around May or June. steps should to taken to minimize technical errors due to the huge amounts of people accessing their website at the same time.

Remarks:

Management is one of the worst I've seen. College is great in the part of educational tours thourough which you'll cover almost all Forest types of the country. Also some scientists are amazing. And there are lot of opportunities for relevant projects. The worst part is university's unsupportive attitude, and bad management.

Remarks:

In the past FRI was considered the temple of Forestry. I think it was because of some reason. Reason could be the management, administration and quality students. I'm hopeful that if quality students are provided with best management and administration, then it can regain it's old reputation. They will have to be a bit more serious for quality syllabus as well as faculty. Seriousness is not just limiting attendence to 75% or more. Moreover quality doesn't come from attendence or something.

Remarks:

Let's start with the negative remarks. The attendance policy is something that needs to be changed. The scope for research and extra curricular activities gets hampered due to the attendance policy. The hostel facilities needs to be improved and certain hostel regulations needs to be changed. The positive side obviously would include the faculty available and the experience and exposure they share. The scope of higher studies is good enough.
