Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen radiotherapy technology as there is increasing cancer in the world so it will have lots of job opportunities in coming years..this course will prepare you to get placed in a hospital as a technologist in future...
Internships Opportunities
The course is of 3+1 year internship... internship is mandatory for Every student.. During internship you will get a stipend of 10k which is a good amount.. Internship is provided by the college itself...
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee is 5800 from second year...first year fee is some 11500 which includes caution deposit...the complete cost the course will only be around 23000 for 3 years...you can also opt for many scholarships programs like national scholarship program(10k per year) and many scholarships under state government and also private scholarship...as such there is no campus but everybody is placed after completion of the course as it is a central government college you will get job easily...
Campus Life
Campus is very good..the college area is very big to roam...there are lots of sports activities like basketball, volleyball, badminton, cricket etc games to play... The annual event named SPANDAN is held every year which is South India's biggest fest held where colleges like AFMC Pune, IGMC etc participate... It also has a big central library which is opened 24hrs... There are various social groups like JSA(jipmer student association) jipmer cult, rotary club etc which will help student in co curricular activities
Hostel Facilities
The room is well furnished with a bed, study table, and a cupboard...it has double seater and single seater room also which depends on availability... If you are a south Indian you will not have problem with the food as there are lots of outside mess available if you don't like common mess of the college... But if you are a North Indian then you will face some problem with the food but you will manage like me...
Admission
The admission process is through neet..the students have to appear neet and should get a score of 500+ to get into this nursing or AHS course... There are 181 seats nd it's quite tough to get a seat as the cutt off is increasing every year...best of luck for neet
