Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is well designed. They really focused on the coding aspect. There are various other vocational courses available which not only makes but also makes you work in teams. There are two phases of examination for every semester - mid sem (20) and end sem (50)

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 1400000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are provided by on campus company High Radius. You have to do one minor in 3rd year and one major project in 4th year. You are given stipend for your internship based on your role in the company.

Placement Experience

From 3rd sem intership opportunities are given. We can sit for placement in the 4th year. Placement training is given along with mock interviews. More than 90% students get placed every year with an average of 8 LPA

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees remain fixed for the entire course. However fees structure may change based on the year of admission but else the fees remain same for the rest of the course years. Hostel is not mandatory. However if one opts for hostel he/she has to opt for mess too.

Campus Life

KIIT fest is the largest fest in bhubaneswar as far as I know. There plenty of books available in our central library. If you are connected with wifi u will be able to access IEEE explore. This is very useful for research grads. There are plenty of sports available.

Hostel Facilities

The food quality is somewhat moderate. It changes over time upon meetings held by the hostel wardens and students. The hostel room are quite spacious and the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned timely by maids.

Hostel Fee: INR 50500 per year

Admission

There was negative marking. You can apply for application online. There are reservation benifits available . The timing of examination will be provided on the notice section of the website. There can be multiple phases of examination. You may appear in one or as many phases u want and the best phase result will be considered. Scholarship is also provided.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

ICT is best for Research and Internships

Placement Experience:

Most of people go for PHDs and research after this course so the number of placements is a little less. Also, this unique Integrated Mtech course is new and the first batch of this 5 year course soon will be passed out. They are getting placement offers of 8-8.5 LPA per annum.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, SAMSUNG visited and about 7 to 8 lakh rupees package they are giving. Highest placement is 1.5 crore and the average package is 8 to 9 lakh rupees. About 70 percent students getting placed. I want to job in MICROSOFT.

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem the students became eligible for campus selection. Companies like Infosys, EVEREADY, ACC , ultratech and many more offering annual packages starting from 2lakhs to 8lakhs. Highest 8lakhs annual packages and average was like 3.5lakh to 4.5 lakh. Approximately 70 to 80 percentage of students are getting placements every year. After getting the degree i want to do a job in electrical companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Things about kiit

You have to give kiitee exam the exam is tough but cutoff is low but there is no benefit of reservation. Exam fee is zero. I think cutoff should be increase be as there is lot of students but less than srm and vit. Hope you like this review...Read More

My college experience

First, you have to apply for Kiitee, then give the exam and qualify, I have applied for KIIT, cause it's a reputated institute, with good placement & many other positive factors. The only cons of this institute are the fees. I know a private institution with such a big name cost this much but still according to me & many other fees are 2-3 lakhs more.
