VIT LIFE

Initially I did not want to be a EEE student but as days passed by , my interest for EEE began to increase... I started loving that subject and it's all thanks to most of the wonderful faculties of VIT Chennai (Not the blacklisted ones tho)... Students in my course with respect to the other courses is in the ratio of 2:9 Vit takes two CAT exams ( 50 marks with 15 % weightage each ) and one FAT exam (100 marks with 40% weightage)... Rest marks are awarded in Digital assignments and Quiz (10 marks each) Some of the faculties are really great and you will definitely enjoy their classes while some are really the ones whom u won't like at all !!!

Currently I'm in 2nd year so I don't have much of an idea but ya u can apply for internship via your contacts... College provides internships as well but I have no idea about them as of yet. Make sure to perform projects so that you can showcase your skills.

Students become eligible for campus placements after 3rd year completion. They can also do internships after 2nd year. Most of the students get placed into their dream companies with high packages. I will be appearing for placements as well.

Tuition Fees per year is 173000 for EEE branch ... For other branches , you can refer to the official VIT website ... Hostel Fees and other security deposits are also available... Check them out in the official website

TechnoVIT - held on September/October and VIBRANCE - held on March are two of the most amazing events... U should never miss such events and should always take part in them without any shadow of a doubt. Variety of books and journals are available in the Library. U can visit the library anytime before 12 am. Sport facilities and ac gyms are also available.

Eligibility criteria - 75% and above in 12th Boards + U need to appear for VIT Entrance Exam. Application forms , fees and dates can be found from the official vit website (https://vit.ac.in/). No reservations availed. One of the major disadvantages of VIT admission test is that they do not reveal your marks and they award you grades on the basis of your family income... Hence , I believe ranking should be done as per the marks achieved by students , not on basis of income.
