Likes
- Overall the college has a good learning exposure for students in the art's and science stream. Being the top college and among top 10 best college or aaunga in providing all opportunities to the students present over there.
Dislikes
- Myself disliked was the small campus space available since the college is present the centre of the Chennai interior. Due to this hostel facilities aren't provided to various students who avail to come to Chennai and study there.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since I am preparing for UPSC exam I wanted to do my bachelors degree in History. So I have opeted this course. The faculty members in my college are very easy going and more concerned on students studies. They used to teach students in depth concepts and make every topics easily understandable. The improvements should be made in aspects of smart way of teaching among students. Exam timings are adaptable only and difficulty of the exams conducted is medium.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees students is very much linent. Since the students are selected based on the government counseling in the aided streams per semester only like amount of fees collected. There are various scholarships provided to students regarding the caste scholarships, first graduate scholarships, toppers scholarship and so on. Financial assistance in any case were also made. Many company placements are done and more are selected to various companies.
Campus Life
As all of them residing in Chennai knows Ethiraj is known for cultural, the entertainment in case of culturals were extraordinary. My experience with this college is that my character of courage has built and I have got a great exposure around the college. This college provides various inter collegiate events and give all opportunities for students in all the aspects of learning and exploring. Various clubs such as ncc, nss, css etc were provided to students and a good infrastructure is present all over.
Admission
Admission of my college is through the online process. Admission is purely based on merit as per the Government policies on reservations and regulations of the University of Madras.The college does not accept or collect donation/capitation fee in any form. No agents or middlemen are involved in the admission. Students after their approval of their forms were asked to come to college for documental verification for admission.
