It was interesting, practical learning was there each semester. There were elective subjects in the seventh semester but in fact, they were actually selected by the management.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college didn't provide any internship we had done it yourself and I had done it on HMT machine tools Kalamessery and the amount spent was 2500.

The placement was good for other branches but for us the mechanical branch the companies were less in India no company came to our college for selection.

College Events

All types of programs were conducted in our college including arts day, sports day and tech fest, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees were affordable, it was 65000 per year and the students who got his/her admission through the entrance were given scholarships by the government.

Yes, the college provides scholarships for students selected through the entrance and they also help in getting the loan.

No, I was a day scholar and on my knowledge hostel facilities were good and up to the standard.

There is an alumni association in college and it is active in its working in connecting the previously passed out students.

The faculties were well qualified and were interactive and friendly. The standard of teaching was above average. The facilities know each and every tiny detail about the subjects they teach and explains it if we have any doubt.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
