Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is pretty good in our branch . Priorities are given to both theoretical and practical knowledge. In our brach there are different types of labs present such as power electronics lab, machines lab etc. The labs and classes are well equipped and managed by the college authorities. We have experienced faculties who guides us through out the academics which helps us to get a better understanding of real world applications of enginnering. We have a club known as ROBOTICS in which students can implement their practical knowledge. Class rooms are equipped with digital boards which helps the professors to teach in a efficient way. Some class rooms and high tech labs are equipped with AC. We have internals in every two months and we have two internals in each semester . Students getting sufficient time to prepare for the examination.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship opportunities are also given by the college. The students can do internships online through UDEMY or INTERNSHALA which are verified by the college. There are some companies also comes to our college for offline internship programs for core branches. These companies also gives pre-placement offers to the students. Some students are also sent by the college for industrial visit. These internship opportunities helps students in their placements.

Placement Experience

5

The placements of our college is pretty decent. Students are eligible for the campus placement from 7th semester itself. Some giant companies like Amazon, Wipro, Accenture,TCS,Tech Mahindra,Airtel,TATA Power etc. are visited the college. The highest package for non-core branches like computer science is 12 lakhs and the highest package for core branches like electrical is 8 lakhs. The average package for non-core branches is around 4 lakhs and average package for core branches is around 3 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements is around 60%. I know the numbers are a little bit low but as our college is new as compared to other colleges i.e established in 2009, but the college is improving towards it rapidly. My plans after getting the degree is to get a good placement or to prepare for govt examinations like GATE.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee stucture of our college is very much affordable for a middle class person . In fact this is the main reason why our college is a better way to go rather than other colleges in terms of fees. The tuition fee is 30000 per year in every branches and hostel fee is 60000 per year which includes mess fees as well. We don't have such fee increase policy in our college. By this fee structure your total cost of engineering will be around 350000 at the end of 4 years. There are many scholarship opportunities for all the students providedby the governmentof odisha such as post matric by students can get upto 20000 per year and e- medhabruti by which students can get 40000 for full course etc. The scholarship amount can be increased in case of reserved catagory students.

Campus Life

5

We have a great campus life here in our college. We have a cultural fest called EXUBERANCE in which students can show up their talents .And we have a techfest as well in which students can show case their innovative ideas to the world. The cultural fest is usually held in the month of march . We have a very big collection of books in our central library which includes both technical and fiction as well. In our class rooms we have digital boards which is a necessity in engineering colleges ,we have projectors also fitted in every class rooms . Some classes and high-tech computer science labs are equipped with air conditiones. We have annual sports program and also a grand sports event also organized by our college known as SAURYA in which students from other reputed colleges in odisha participate. We have a open gym in our college . We have a club named SHADOWS which handles the social media groups and websites of our college.

Hostel Facilities

5

We have three boys hostel and two girls hostel inide the campus . The hostel rooms have two pairs of tables and chairs . The hostel rooms are not provided with internet facilities. Students have to rely upon local internet providers for getting internet in the hostel rooms. Hostel rooms are cleaned every day and we have beautiful gardens Infront of every hostel buildings. Washing machines are also not provided by the college. Honestly the quality of the meal is decent . We have variety in the menu but it is not upto the standards. We can not complain about it that much because the fee is quite low as well. We get breakfast, launch and dinner . Evening snacks is not given by the mess, students have to manage on their own. The registration process for the hostel will be done at the time of admission itself . The hostel fee is 60000 per year which also includes mess fee. If someone wants to rent a PG then he or she can rent one nearby the college which is around 5 km far from the college.

Admission

To get admission in this college you have to appear in JEE mains or OJEE entrance exams. Then you have to go through OJEE counseling in order to secure a seat in our college. Student must be from science background and must have qualified 12th. You can find applications and all notices about dates and timings in the college website as well as OJEE counseling portal. There is no such application fees other than JEE mains and counseling fees. As someone have to appear in JEE mains he or she should have in depth knowledge of class 11th and 12th science subjects. But for getting into this college a decent rank in JEE mains is enough for securing a good branch. The admission process is smooth but it could be a little more organized on the day of admission and college is improving towards it.

Other Applied Colleges

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical Engineering)

Because the fees of that college is much more higher than our college.

The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
