Remarks

NITIE is a good college given you want to pursue supply chain in case you are undecided what career you want to pursue NITIE may not be a good option as it offers limited opportunities in other fields.

Entrance Preview

CAT percentile 98.00 chose NITIE as it is known for supply chain. NITIE's placement is focused on supply chain with almost all FMCG's and leading manufacturing firms hiring from NITIE.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

First year as in all colleges is common but the curriculum in NITIE remains supply chain focused one can chose electives in 2nd years between finance and marketing.

Internships Opportunities

Almost all FMCG companies visited the campus i had interned with asian paints and stipend at that time was INR 40k/month the stipend has increased in the recent past.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are good for supply chain Jobs and IT consulting FMCG companies that regularly visit campus are P&G, HUL, Nestle and ITC to name a few among IT consulting would be CBC, TCS, Wipro.

College Events

4

There is a single festival in NITIE now called Avtran earlier, NITIE used to have more than one Fest managed by PGDIM and PGDIE batches. In Avtran, the fest spans across Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance competitions and conclaves.

Fee Structure And Facilities

NITIE can be considered to have the best ROI after FMS the fees is still low compared to other Top 15 B Schools fees during my time was INR 4.75 lakhs for both years, It has increased though in the recent past.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship is offered however, loan facility is easily available wont be able to share experience as I did not avail any loan facility.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is good and enjoyable NITIE is surrounded by lakes and trees it is a different place compared to other parts of mumbai gender ratio is skewed as NITIE takes only engineers hostel parties are limited and depends on your personal group.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

NITIE has recently added a hostel block which has sufficient capacity the room size is good and offers a scenic view from windows mess food would be average but i guess its the same story in all colleges.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is strong and supportive one gets good guidance all along post MBA it is the alumni network that helps with respect to Jobs or any help related to work.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is bit chilled out in NITIE regular tests in NITIE are not common this gives plenty of time to students to participate across B School competitions and complete certifications.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty standards are good for supply chain courses however, for electives, faculty from other colleges are invited the teaching may not be comparable to top IIMs.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
