Realistic View of NIA

Course curriculum is very relevant in present time with deeper study of each domain of insurance along with practical exposure via visit to sites and regular guest lectures.And subjects like- Data Analytics, Linear Programming and Acturial Science and many others, help students to equip with most relevant skills needed to survive on present dynamic corporate insurance industry. And cousre includes 6 trimesters along with 2 months of internship aftyer first 3 trimester.

Internship opportunities with all biggest players of the industry are avilable, and students get placed by college only because it's mandatory part of curriculum.Various roles across all different domains of insurance are avilable such as- Underwiting, Claims management, Product Management, Sales etc. Summer Placement is also 100%. And on the basis performance at internship students get PPO.

Good placement is what is USB of NIA. Since the inception batch of 2005-07, NIA had track record of 100% placement along with increasing median and average packages.NIA is an institution where placements are completed way before other B Schools and same goes for summer internships. All big insurance companies like- Bajaj Allianz, ICIC Lombard, HDFC ergo, Mahindra Brokers, Marsh Brokers, Mrash Mcllenan, Aon Brokers etc, all firms from all domain insurance and risk management visit the campus for placement.

Total Fees for two years is 12,53,000 INR currently. First year fees academic fess 4,80,000 INR and Hostel fees 1,53,500 INR, and second year academic fees 4,73,000 and Hostel fees 1,53,500. And multiple scholarships are avialable, 9 students get scholarship worth 1,00,000 INR based on thier academic performance and through various categories. And 5 students this year got compelete academic fee waiver. And employement opportunities are also good with track recoed of 100% placement since inception of the programme.

Infratstructure at NIA is amazing. It's one of the most beautiful campus in the country with 32 acres of lush greenery.And social life is also good, with you creating very close bonds with your batchmates alongside studying,competeting with them and also organising several events with them.And also additional benefit which gives an advantage to NIA is MDP programme going on wHere already working proffessionals are trained, Students get chance to connect with them and build connections with giants of industry while being at campus, and these programmes are going on continously through out the year and this is what differentiates NIA from others. There are numerious societies and clubs avialble to join to participate in several activities happening regularly.

Hostel facilities are quite good, with good quality rooms and services. All cleaning and Wifi and all other services are provided regularly with mess food which is of better qulaity comparatively along with good variety. Registration process id also quite simple and you'll be alloted hostel on the basis of merit list.And also for Non Hostelers there are several flats and PG's are avilable.

On a whole admission process was smooth and well structered. Process was shortlisting on the basis of CAT and CMAT scores,followed by Personal Interview to analyze your current knowledge, awareness and skills. Reservation benefits were provided on the basis of government categorisation and regulations.And regarding cutoff it's between 75 to 85 percentile for CAT and 85+ for CMAT.You can get forms at NIA website

My Admision was through CAT entrance exam , I had to appear for an interview where my analytical skills, current awareness and communicating skills were analyzed. So, Had just 3 step process 1) CAT exam 2)Shortlisting And 3) Interview And there was an extempore along with interview, hasd to speak for 3-4 mins. Topics were general based on current scenarion in insurance industry, Social Media and Current Techgnological advancements.
