In labs also lab assistant try their best to explain the students how instrument work and what are their applications.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Yes, ther is internship given by Wipro through the college and also many companies other like Infosys, JSW etc give the internship offer.Internship is good provide by the college and also the student is very intelligent mind the complete their internship and also the projects.

Placement Experience

Yes, we have a Placement Cell in our college. Students are placed majorly in the course of B.Tech for EEE, EE, & ETC (actual the best placements in OJEE level counselling) and 2nd highest package in CSE & IT. Hostel Rating The only government engineering institute which possess hostels controlled by government (OJEE level institutes) especially for girl students. The mess facilities are amazing but for boys mess food is not so good but edible unlike other government or private college's hostels.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees is in this year There is a small increase rs.41,440 .but in the previous year the fees is low . Fees is not more but it will okok. The complete course of general course is around 80k.including hostel fees that is good for a govt Engineering college . The fees is reduced in the next of 2nd year. Scholarship give like state scholarship (post metric scholarship) ,and Kalia scholarship. Scholarship amount upto 50k.

Campus Life

Since I am in my first year so I still have a lot to explore. I have been able to enjoy various new experiences with the new friends I have made here. Also since it's situated in burla and hirakud dam is only 8 km from the hostels. The dam can be easily viewed from the top floor of the hostel.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The only government engineering institute which possess hostels controlled by government (OJEE level institutes) especially for girl students. The mess facilities are amazing but for boys mess food is not so good but edible unlike other government or private college's hostels. Infrastructure Rating Currently the infrastructure is being developed for various other purposes such as campus expansion. There are a lot of faculties in the university but the main problem is that authority is not maintaining it but after the visit of honorable president Ms. Draupadi Murmu in the institute infrastructure development is again started rapidly.

Hostel Fee: INR 48000 per year

Admission

The entry requirements of the B.Tech course are that you should be obtaining more than 60% in 12th. The student should participate in OJEE counselling and obtain more than 60 percentile for chemical engineering and 92 or more for CSE. I was kind of interested in its clubs which are quite popular in the state. And also admission through the JEE Mains

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Buckle up Journey in Vssut

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains. The admission process is through the OJEE COUNSELLING. It is the counselling only for the students of odisha and anyone out of Odisha appearing the OJEE examination. The eligibility of our college is 45 percent. The admission process is quite hassle free. As once you got the seat in ojee counselling....Read More

I applied for outr Bhubaneswar and vssut burla. I was getting electrical branches in both the colleges. But in outr there are not enough hostels for student neither the campus is that much attracting. O the other hand vssut have total 11 hostel and can accommodate every student studying and the campus is also somewhat good. But for csit branches there are not enough facilities in vssut To get admission here you have to get a rank in jee main exam and have to go through ojee counselling. To get to cse branch your all India rank must be within 1lakhs and for electrical branch its about 1.5lakhs and for lower branches production rank does not matter that must there are seats pending vacant you can get them via spot counselling...Read More
