Experience and Lessons Learnt In HINDUSTAN UNIVERSITY

Our college allows us to choose our own electives and encourages us to choose our required Honors Or any major/minor subjects of our interest. This way i choose data science stream and got interest into it this field. The curriculum is ok, but can be more lab oriented to imporve our programming skills and test our knowledge in coding, data structures and algorithms rather writing all the theory part alone. But all other things like working on mini projects and submission of assignments given in each semester is pretty good.

Hackathons and other acdemics competions are conducted from first year itself. Internships oppurtunities starts to come in the end of second year and third year. Placement training would start from the starting for final year. Campus Placement come in the final year or sometimes in the end of Third year. The average package would be arond 3.5LPA.

There would be scholorship merits for students scoring good in HITSEE entrance exam. Students getting First 10 rank might get much minimum fee or no fee. There would be no hike in tuition fee. But there is separate fee for transport/hostel if needed.

Our campus is greenery. The architecture of each department blocks would be different. A well organised and air conditioned Library is available. There is accessibility to sports courts and other interested events. Sports: Basketball court, Football Ground, Tennis/Badminton Courts, Horse riding. Academics: Classrooms with smartboards and projectors, Laboratory, Library Co-Curricular: NCC,NSS,Rotract, dance, music clubs

There were different types of admission process. One way was through University exam (HITSEE), the other way was thorugh 12th grade marks. The exam appilication is open once every year. The admission application and other official details can be found in official website hindustanuniv.ac.in. I am currently pursuing B.tech computer science engineering. Eligibility for this course: 12th completed (physics/chemistry/maths) and HITSEE exam scores. Lateral entry is also available, respective details are available in the official website. There are various courses available in arts and engineering streams.
