- The facilities such as ventilation, sanitised washrooms and lift facilities were not provided which caused health issues to many students.
- Insufficient faculties and also inadequate lectures.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would say that the curriculum is structured quite well but the delivery of the modules in the course were not upto the mark. The first two years mainly focused on modules related to computer applications but the faculty and the method of teaching was not very efficient and effective. A lot of content were left and wasn't taught to us by the facilities. However, as my course is integrated we moved to an organisation for my final year where the delivery was way better and it was so useful. I'm able to learn and understand various concepts related to cyber security and it is motivating me to go in the field of cyber security. However since the modules are suggested by my college there are a few modules that aren't required for cyber security. The exam timings and the difficultly is perfect. We have two internals which is spaced well. The areas of improvement would be mainly related to the faculties. They need to find better and more experienced faculties with better delivery techniqes.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee for a normal day scholar is Rs. 53,000 and for a NRI is $1500 per year. The transportation fees is around Rs. 35,000 but it depends on the distance. I'm not aware of the scholarships as they do not provide it to everyone or even give change for students to prove. Sports quota is available for students with sports background. Campus employments are not very good and also the opportunities that occur are not related to the subject area and it does not provide great opportunity. There are no job roles or responsibilities or stipends that's been awarded. I would say that the tuition fee is comparatively lesser but also the university doesn't provide any great opportunities once the degree is completed.
Campus Life
The university provides clubs but it is not affordable by everyone and also there's not a huge range. "Yarona" is an annual cultural festival that is usually held in the month of March and it is a one day event. That is the only culturals the university provides. There is a wide range of books and journals in the library. The facilities and technological provisions within classrooms and labs are quite questionable. There is no ventilation, washrooms are not sanitised and there is no advanced technologies. Sports matches are also held once a year giving opportunity to everyone.
Admission
The application process was not very smooth. I applied online and paid the application fees but my application was not properly processed until I called the university and sorted it out. I wasn't informed that they classes were started and only found out about it after half a month as it was during covid. They also put me in a different specialisation not the one I wanted and i had to change it later. There was no entrance exams and no reservation benefits were availed. I would suggest that they had better communication with applicants and had a better management.
