A little fun, very stressful

For CSE branch, there is no much practical learning put in use. It's all mainly learning by heart. The Curriculum is just average. No research initiatives for CSE branch. ECE has some research initiatives. Mechanical engineering is the best course offered by BMU.

The college provides internships (part of the curriculum) for students whose CGPA meets the requirements (mostly 6 CGPA). It was a good experience. But there is no stipend offered.

2017 was the first time BMU SOET has conducted placements. It was very poor and only a handful of students could be placed. But, BMU tried getting many companies for the placement. In SOM, the placement was good.

Till now, only 1 fest was organized by BMU in 2016. It was a small fest. Not many colleges participated. Only 1 event (Eokart) managed to get as many participants from other colleges as possible. Other events weren't that good. And the organization was not up to the mark.

The fee structure is nominal, equivalent to other universities across India. BMU offers a lot of scholarships to its students for making it affordable to study here. It costs approximately 4 lakhs per anum for a non-scholarship student. But there is even 100% scholarships available for top scorers in the university.

The university provides a lot of scholarships for meritorious students. They provide scholarships on both tuition fee and accommodation. From 20% - 100% scholarships are provided to students based on their performance in entrance exams. For meritorious girl students from poor economic backgrounds, 100 % scholarships are provided. Right now, only SBH and Axis Bank provide student loans for the student.

Hostels for girls have single and double rooms (AC and Non AC, both options are available). For boys, single, double and triple rooms are available. We pay around 70,000 to 1.2 lakh per year based on the type of room selected. There are 2 messes that serve food. One is just average and the other serves really good food.

There was no interaction with alumni that took place till date.

Standard of teaching is very low. There is only a handful of faculty who are experienced in teaching and are great teachers. But there are many teachers who have no experience or sometimes no in depth knowledge about the subject that they are teaching.
