Remarks

They mostly focus on the academics, not on the overall development of the student. They want whatever may be the situation you should not take your academics for granted. The management can be sometimes supportive but that's very rare.

Entrance Preview

To be honest I didn't intentionally opt for this college. I got this college through online counseling and whatever information I was able to gather and the fear of not getting selected in other colleges made me take admission in this college. Of all the colleges I was eligible for I found it to be better.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is tentative. It keeps on changing according to the latest technology. The core subjects of the stream are kept constant and the rest keeps changing. The syllabus is not that difficult and covers almost all the things that required to have a proper grasp of that subject. But the curriculum is not well organized. Some subjects are inter-related but they are treated as independent.

Internships Opportunities

No, currently our college does not provide any internships. There is no provision for any paid or unpaid internships till date.

Placement Experience

2.5

I would say average or par. The top recruiters are IT companies like Infosys, Mindtree, and TechMahindra. The average package is around 3.2 LPA CTC. You require good analytical and communication skills for getting placed. Around 60-70 % of students are almost getting placed but the package is not that high.

College Events

3

Our annual cultural fest is named 'Akanskhya'(translates to Akanskha in Hindi) which is generally organised in the month of February. The other events involve sports events called 'Ahawan', Tech events such as coding, gaming events. Some fun events such as Treasure Hunt, Roadies. All of the above are part of the annual function which runs for around one week.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a private college, the fee is quite feasible. If you broader then it would cost you around 1.5 lakhs/year including hostel and mess charges. The fee can be paid in two installments or at once yearly. There is also a registration fee of Rs 1580 which you need to pay each semester.

Campus Life

2.5

The gender ratio is good. You can find an almost equal number of boys and girls on the campus. The campus life is not that exciting as anyone would like to have. You restricted by rules and regulations. Debates, quizzes are organized frequently and winners are rewarded with cash prizes and certificates. For robotics and other technologies seminars and workshops are organized.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostels provided to first-year students are well maintained. You won't get any air-conditioned rooms facility. From second-year onwards, the hostels provided are not up to the mark. You have to make adjustments. The mess food is below average. Sometimes you would get good food but at times it is less edible.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a GITA Alumni Society which keeps all the alumni in touch with the college. Senior students are helpful who can guide you if you are in kind of dilemma or confusion. You can ask for help without any hesitation and they would help if they can.

Exam Structure

The assessment is marked throughout the semester. There are two types of marking Internal and External(The end sem exams). For the internal markings, two class tests are taken which consists of 15 marks each and rest (total is 50) are evaluated on the basis of attendance, surprise tests. Both the marks are combined and an equivalent grade is provided. For the end sem, the question paper is set by the University(BPUT) to which our college is affliated to.

Admission

First I filled out the OJEE counselling form through its website which was also accepting JEE Main score and I filled the list of colleges that I would like to get admitted in together with the desired stream. Then these choices were locked by visiting an offline nodal centre. And at last the final allotment was granted on the website after which I went to the college to complete the admission procedure.

Faculty

2.5

Some of the faculties are highly qualified. But overall it's an average. Some of them can explain a topic very clearly while some fail to teach the depth. But they are always eager to help you. You can reach them out whatever may be the problem or whatever may be the time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I love computers and I have deep intrest in computer science sk I choose this course. I learned much necessary things in the college. College should help and provide skills according to the students. There were hackathons done by the college which is a good step towards the development of students. The main focus should be in the practical knowledge than the thoery as in real world students have to deal with projects where labs practices play a major role.

Placement Experience:

the placements are preety good in this college . however currenty the job market is down so it has impacted the college placements. from 6th semester onwards students become eligible for placements however the companies visit from 7th sem onwards . many renowned companies visit along with multiple startups offering from a range 4 lpa to 24 lpa all based on the potential of the students. the college offers a 100% placement but looking at current senario it seems difficult. mostly companies hire for sowftware engineers and product manager roles but , also provide marketing and sales job roles. 25 lakhs per annum is the highest package in the recent time average package is abput 5-10 lakhs per annum. though college promises 100% placements, the actual percentage is quite low about 50-60% students are getting placed which is also a result of the current job market scenario my plans after this degree is joining a company and finding my passion . i can also tink about my own startup based on my passion to make a change in the society .
