A quick view on KIIT university from a Fresher

Being choosen CSE in B.tech the course curriculum is same as other college around India. First year comprises of 11th &12th topics and from 2nd year the actual course begins. Exams are conducted two times in a sem, mid-sem & end-sem.

As per my seniors the intership is compulsory in third year and can be done domestic and international, the college does help to get internship , if recommendation is needed. Being a fresher I have not yet come to know more about internship..

Placements are pretty solid in KIIT university, the average goes around 8 to 9L every year and max package was about 56L in 2023. Being a fresher i am not sure about 2024 results yet, but many companies do visit college during placement season.

The Fee for b.tech in KIIT university for 1 year is 4L , and we have to pay 2L per sem. As for the hostel & mess fee , the mess fee is fixed 22.5k / sem and hostel fee ranges from 28k - 70k / sem. There are many option for hostel in the college , there is non- ac room , ac-room(3-sharing and 2-sharing) , ac-premium (attached washroom in the room same 3 &2 sharing). During admission one time pay of 75k is required for laptop and registration fee , 15k is required for one time hostel payment.

In first year after mid-sem the entry for clubs and gym and swimming starts. There is reading room provided in hostel for peace and good envirnoment during exams it is filled with students. There are many sports and we are provided chance to play any sport,

In hostel sharing startes with minium 3 sharing, the room is provided with bed, table, chair, pillow, bucket , mug, 2 begsheet , 2 pillow cover and blanket. There is also one Cubboard provided and a small area to keep things or book under the bed. The food quality is okish not too good or too bad.

I have applied to many other college and i got pretty good branches in those college as well. In comedk my rank was 3800 , in KITEE my rank was 1023 , in VIT my rank was 45K, in Amrita my rank was 6k. i did get my preffered branch in other college as well , main reason for me to choose KIIT over other college was distance from my home and my hometown.

The faculties in the college are excellent , almost all the faculty have completed doctorate. The faculty-to-student is 1:70. In the first year we have two sem , one sem has chemistry whereas other has physics, after the sem end the subject changes accorndingly.

The hostel entry time is 6:30 pm in evening which is pretty bad as class ends at 5 or 6. We cant go gym after that time. The food delivery is allowed this 10 in night. The college is open campus so you can get campus at any time no restriction on that. Famous hangout place in college is MBA garden.
