SIBM-N: An Overview

The curriculum is robust and upto date. The courses such as Data Driven Decision Making, R Programming, Business Analytics for Marketing, Project Management, Financial Management influenced my decision to take this course. The faculty of these subjects were great and gave us industry ready skills. More computer based training can improve the teaching. The exam pattern is as follows: 1 Quiz, 2 Assignments, 1 Mid Term and 1 End Term. There is separate passing in internal and external components. The level of exam is fairly good.

The companies such as Finoability, Tata AIG, TATA Trent, Zara, Growth Arrow etc have come for SIP this year for finance. Different companies have different JDs. My companion Finoability has a JD for Equity Research. It provides a stipend of ?10,000/- For two months. The internship is in online mode.

In MBA Second year students are eligible for placements. The companies visited are HDFC, SBI General Insurance, Federal Bank, ICICI Aspect Ratio etc. for finance. The highest package offered is 25 lacs p.a. and Lowest is 8 lacs p.a. 60-70% students get placed. Continue with the job which get from college or if not then find a relevant job in the market.

The complete cost of an MBA program at SIBM Nagpur is around 22.5 lacs ( subject to 10% increase in hostel and mess fees). Need baesd or profile based scholarships are offered. Placement committee provides SIPs and Final placement opportunities at sibm nagpur. I have got my SIP Through sibm nagpur only.

The annual events such as Manifest and Alumni meet are held in the month of jan to march at sibm nagpur. The campus life at sibm nagpur is student friendly and positive. The books relevant to syllabus and otherwise with great material are always available at library in hard and digital form. The classrooms are equipped with bose and Sennheiser sound system, projector and wifi connectivity throughout the campus. There is a facility of gym with basketball and futsal ground. Gym coaches male and female are provided by the institute. Machines are in good condition. Airconditioned Gym. Sport events are held yearly. I am a part of social group known as Institute Social Responsibility (ISR Club) at sibm nagpur. This club aims to spread social awareness in campus with different activities like seminars, drama, performance etc.

The Hostel rooms are provided with air conditioner, attached bathroom with facility of 24hr hot water. A table and shelf. Mess food is normal with non veg served 2 times a week. Hostel registration is at the time of paying admission fees only.

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Nagpur is a constituent of Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune. To take admission for a MBA program at SIBM Nagpur one has to take Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) which is held annualy in the month oh November - December. The application typically starts from August till late October every year. The Eligibility to this program is graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks with degree from a UGC recognised college/ institute. Application Form is available at symbiosis site. Application fees can range from ? 2500 and above. After that ? 1000 per college/ constituent you are applying for. I took the The Reservation benefit of kashmiri migrants category. Two seats are reserved for this category for a MBA program. Upto 3 tests can be given for admission and the best performance attempt will be considered for evaluation. The difficulty level is medium but its a speed based test. So speed and accuracy is important.

The topic for GD was Russia Ukraine war. The interview questions were more general knowledge based. I was quizzed about my profile, UG internship and projects and some basic knowledge about finance domain. I prepared by undergoing mock tests and general knowledge books etc.
