Life at NMIMS Hyderabad

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies offers it's students a brilliant flexible curriculum and the General MBA degree allows the students to upskill themselves in various fields. The curriculum is completely devised in such a manner that it prepares the students with real-life training. The students are taught from case studies published by Harvard Business School and texts books written by authors like Kotlher and Keller. The course curriculum is a bit hectic one as NMIMS follows a trimester pattern. The trimester exams happen once every 10 weeks. In January the first year students are sent for a winter internship known as WeCare which is a Corporate Social Responsibility internship for a month and from 1st April to 31st May the first year students have their Summer Internships.

The placement brochure can give a better idea for this. Various companies come from various sectors like: BFSI, FMCG, IT, Consultancy, etc. Some names from our 2023 Placements are ICICI Bank, Bestseller, Oxane Partners, etc.

Summer Internships from September till 31st March. Same goes for Final Placements. However, students are eligible to opt out from the placement process if they can manage an offer from outside. Some Companies in 2023: ICICI Bank, Oxane Partners, etc. Highest Package 2023: 28.05 Average Package 2023: 13.01 There is 100% placements. My plan is to work in big FMCG firm and grow my career from there.

I am not aware of the fee increase policy. Total cost of the two year residential MBA program is approximately 2500000 (including hostel fees). The tuition fees are 100000 lakhs every year and the hostel fees are 250000 lakhs every year. All forms of student loans are accepeted by NMIMS. I am not aware of the scholarships as I have not availed them. Job roles vary from Management Trainee to domain specific roles during Final Placements and various roles during Summer Internships.

There are various events that takes place in our university throughout the year by various clubs and committees of the univeristy. Being a residential campus, there is always something or the other happening. There is Library service available to all the students and they also have access to Blooberg terminal. The classrooms are smart classrooms with smart TV and internet connections. There is a college football and cricket team. Intra-NMIMS competiutons are held throughout the year.

The students after completing graduation have to appear for the NMAT exam. This exam is 360 marks time based exam. The time allotted for the exam is 2 hours. There are three sections in the exam. English, Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasong. Each section contains 120 marks in total. The total number of questions in each of the section is 36. After the candidate has appeared for the exam, a cut-off is realsed by the exam board. There are two cut-offs that are given. One is a sectional cut-off in each of the sections and one is a total marks section. Your application in any of the NMIMS campus depends on matching this cut-off. Keep in mind, you have to fill the NMIMS college application form seperately from the NMIMS website and the NMAT form sperately. The exam takes place throughout the year and students have the flexibility to choose their dates based on availibility. The calender is provided in the NMAT dashboard of the applicant.

NMIMS had various topic for Watson Galcier test where a situation is givent to us and the slected candidates need to write an essay on it. In the PI round, there were general questions, followed by situation based questions. It totally depends on the panel. The first step is to give the NMAt exam. Then based on the cut-off, NMIMS offers the various campusses you are eligible to apply for. Then the WAT/PI round takes place in NMIMS Mumbai. Followed by that, the Offer Letter for admission is released. I took coaching in IMS India for my entrance exams.
