LIFE IN AND AFTER GCET

Course curriculum is primarily same as other top colleges that prepares the student to solve the real world problems and make a change in the society through their technical skills. I cannot tell the areas of improvement as the college administration and management are always at work to improvise the college campus and student life.

There are many companies which come to college for placement . The college has a tie with the companies like geeks for geeks (GFG) , Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, HCL for good internship and placement opportunities. There are many mini projects and major projects for third and fourth year students to comply with the industries demands and be ready for a skillfull carrer ahead.

The strength of GCET's connections with industries and businesses plays a crucial role. Institutions with strong ties to companies really have better placement opportunities for the students. The effectiveness of the training and placement cell within GCET is vital. The geographic location of GCET may also play a role. Proximity to industrial hubs and tech parks in Greater Noida facilitate better placement. From 6th semester onwards students become eligible for sitting in placements but as recent time Recession is going on so less offers are made but it will soon in track with a new change. Recently 4 offers were made as the highest package from "Autodesk" company of 39 LPA. Also there were other good offers in campus. After getting the degree I have to work in a good MNC.

Since I have listened from seniors and juniors about the fee structure and seen myself. In these many years the fee structure has been same that is 1,25,000 per year and this the less amount as compared to other colleges in Greater Noida. If the student is hardworking in studies then this amount can be proved as a good Return of Investment (ROI). You can take hostel outside the campus as well as in campus hostel. College also provides the assistance for education loan and it is literally beneficial for the middle class students like me. We have been rewarded Internships according to the skills and marks scored in the exam. In the final year of course the placement opportunity starts for the students. And from many years there have been really a good package placed and the average package is 4,00,000.

Students at GCET likely engage in various social activities such as socializing in common areas, participating in events and gatherings, fostering friendships, brotherhood and supportive alumni as well as peer network. Every year there is an UNIFEST that is the largest fest in Noida and NCR. It is all fun and amazing lively moments. There are many clubs that are active throughout the year. Many students find fulfilment and camaraderie through participation in departmental and council clubs. GCET likely offers a diverse range of clubs catering to different interests be it cultural, sports related, academics based and new technologies workshops. The infrastructure at GCET is crucial for providing a conducive learning environment. This includes well equipped classrooms, libraries, labs and recreational rooms.

I have taken hostel outside the campus and they are basically affiliated to college. Just the student has to decide how many seated rooms he has to take and talk to the managers for the fees. This accommodation activity takes place outside the admission building. All the facilities provided by hostel are good for the student to live and experience a new life. The meal is overall good and hostel owners tend to change the menu time to time according to the students. As we are moving forward year by year the affordability is a bit costly but it is worth of the facilities. My hostel is located in Knowledge Park 3, Greater Noida near Dronacharya Group of Institutions.

The eligibility for the 4 years BTech program is Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Student has to score a good rank to opt for the Computer Science and allied branches. After the exam, student has to apply for priority colleges of their choice on the AKTU website. Previously it was known as UPSEE.
