Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is just an average, not up to the mark. We have many useless subjects like Disaster Management, Doing Business in India, Consumer behaviour etc. but some subjects are useful as well like Sales force and channel management, Rural Marketing etc. The teaching style of faculties is not so good, they still follow the age-old style teaching method.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Yes, college provides internship opportunities. Here, placements in summer internships are much better than final placements. Many good and reputed companies are visited here for summer internships including fujitsu, Tech Mahindra, digit insurance etc. Maximum stipend offered this year is 40,000.

Placement Experience

1.5

The campus placements are not so good. We pay the fee amount of 22-23 Lakhs but in return, we get the average package of only 7-8 Lakhs. So, the ROI is not even touch 50%. The placement committee and the director do lots of hard work for the better placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost of education is 22-23 L including tuition fees, hostel fees and all kinds of miscellaneous charges which is quite high. Tuition and hostel fees are increased by 10% every year. Various banks provide scholarships and financial aid to students, college also provides scholarships only to top-notch students.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is great here. We live on a huge 76-acre campus, here we have all kinds of facilities including a gym, sports ground, indoor games, health centre etc. Every possible essential item you easily get here on our campus. Here are lots of students-run social groups as well like the Institute's social responsibility, student cultural committee etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities are good here. We have three kinds of rooms here including twin rooms, triple sharing and quad sharing rooms. Every room is equipped with an Air-conditioner, fan, tube lights, drying area, microwave oven, fridge etc. Mess food is not so good. The good thing about the mess food is you get 2 days non-veg in a week.

Admission

The basic eligibility criteria to pursue this course is graduation in any field or any branch of study. After that, you need to appear for the SNAP examination which is held every year. Your performance in the SNAP exam will make you eligible for further rounds like GD/PI, WAT process etc. You need to pass 4 to 5 rounds of processes to get admission in SIBM or in any symbiosis college. Caste-based reservations are provided to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe students.

Interview Experience

4.5

Yes, after clearing the SNAP examination we have 3 more rounds like Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. In written ability tests, they just analyze your thinking and writing skills. In the Group discussion there are approx 6-7 students are sitting in a panel and the panellist gave us a topic and we need to discuss that topic. The final selected students proceed to the personal interview round.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
