Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is a follow up of an IIT institute. It not only focuses on the specific subject but also the peripheral subjects so that students can explore and find out their interest. The curriculum includes all the new aspects and real world applications. It has futuristic views. All the booming subjects are included in the curriculum. The course is well versed but it's quite tough and difficult to cope up because the semesters are quite short. There are few teachers who are very well in there field but then some are not which is problematic. The exams are held every three months. And the questions are really tough. Considering such short span of the semester it is difficult to manage.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The college firstly train is for internships and placements. The teachers are quite helpful and guide us with the projects. While some are stipend some are not. But you have to take that jump from ur end to get a intership.

Placement Experience

4

From the 6th semester itself students are eligible for Campus placements. Companies like Microsoft, Accenture, Deloitte, LinkedIn etc have visited the university. More than 500+ companies visit the university and the placement is 100%. The highest package is 67LPA and on an average 3LPA packages are offered. I have planned to continue my higher studies in the same University.

Fees and Financial Aid

For each semester the cost is around rs. 1,75,000. There is an hike of 500 in each semester. The complete cost can come upto 14,00,000 which is really a wholesome amount. Exam charges and semester registration charges are not included. They charge an extra rs 2000 for both semester and exam fees. There are scholarships available. During the admission exam if you are a ranker between 1000 then you will get a scholarship or else you won't. But again if ur semester grades are good enough then only your scholarship will continue or else it won't. If a student has some genuine financial problems then a letter to the founder genuinely works. He/she gets a financial aid from the founder himself.

Campus Life

4.5

There is only one annual fest of the university "kiit fest" which typically happens during the month of January in a huge scale. But another fest named "kritarth" also happens in the month of September which is nothing that big but is a good one. Technical fest keeps happening in the interval of 3-4 months. The university has a central library with a wide range of books. The central library is one of the biggest libraries in the state and has a wide range of facilities. We can avail it 24*7. Then we also have departmental libraries in each campus which are also helpful. All the classrooms are digitalized and air conditioned. The labs are well fashioned and high in technology and equipments. There is widespread range of sports and extra-curricular activities. Students can opt anything according to their interest and even the university provides opportunities to excel in these fields. Yes there is a student run club which impact the students life positively.

Admission

The admission process was smooth. To enroll in the course one has to have PCM as their subjects in 11th an 12th grade. Even one must have 75% above marks as their board marks. The application form is available in the official website of the university. An amount of 1000 is required as application fees. The exam takes place from the month of April to June. As I have not availed any reservation benefits so i don't have any proper knowledge about it. Coming to frequency of the exam, it takes place 5 times. A student can seat for the exam 5 times without paying any extra application fees. The best out 5 results are taken into consideration. The questions have all sort of levels included. But according to me i will comment it as medium. The exam and application process is quite convenient but they should not give more than 2 chances to attempt the exam.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Most of people go for PHDs and research after this course so the number of placements is a little less. Also, this unique Integrated Mtech course is new and the first batch of this 5 year course soon will be passed out. They are getting placement offers of 8-8.5 LPA per annum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
