Course Curriculum Overview

I have a interest in mechanical branch since I was in my school and according to my rank I got mechanical engineering. This is the evergreen branch of engineering it prepares us to face real world problems as it teaches us how to face difficulties.

Internships Opportunities

Internship are usually offered in 3rd year. There are many technical teams and clubs which provides us with many projects which helps in out internship.most of students here apply intership in It sector and coding.

Placement Experience

The placement of my college is very good the average placement of my college is 10 lakhs and the highest placement was this year 83 lakhs. The percentage of placed students is about 90 percent. There are several companies like Google Amazon and other MNCs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of my course is 150000 per semester which include tuition fees and HOSTEl mess fees. Fee structure of all NITs is very high. People who cannot afford the are given fee remission and there are many scholarship programs for people who can't afford.

Campus Life

My campus life is very joyful and learning as there are several things to do in my college. There are plenty of fests which happen in my college including the main cultural fest that is cul fest and main technical fest that is Ojass. There are many books in the library which students can read and there is a hole electronic library which provides internet.

Hostel Facilities

There are two students in one room the room is good for two people. There is a common room in my hostel where we chill.the mess food is very good and there are several dishes for South and North communities. Food is very spicy and tasty.

Hostel Fee: INR 15000 per year

Admission

My college take students admission through joint entrance examination rank. According to the rank of jee the admission in respective branch is given. My rank was 11105 in OBC and according to my cutoff I got admission in mechanical branch. In my college 2 exams are held mid semester exams and end semester exams.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
